Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Dreamview TV Strip Lights' ease of use, brightness, and how they enhance the viewing experience. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and the overall quality of the product, noting the positive impact on movie nights. However, some users experienced issues with the camera's design and the adhesive's ability to securely hold the lights in place. The fit of the lights on certain TV sizes was also a point of concern for some customers.

Disappointed and Stuck with them
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son was finally able to connect these to his new television, and they do not fit correctly at all. They were too big/ling even though he has a 65 in television and it says they should fit. Unfortunately, we are stuck with them because he was unable to try them within 30 days.

Could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The led strips with the wires are too long for a 55” tv. The camera is slow to pick up colors and does not mimic the on screen colors well.

Solid Light Strip That Can Add Immersion
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.CONCLUSION: The biggest selling point of this device is the reactive lighting. This is done by a camera reading your screen over HDMI. This makes the price of admission a lot cheaper but at the cost of being a bit slower in reaction and having less accurate colors. However, I still found this device to be quick to respond with colors being relatively accurate. You have two options to either have ALL the lights change to a singular color based on what is on the screen or have each of the 15 zones change. I found when placed on the different zones that it tended to group most of them together making it so you can only see 2 – 3 colors at a time. In the end this works well by adding to the immersion of your content by making you feel like you are inside of it instead of watching it making it a worthy upgrade to your TV. Especially, if you are wanting to add LEDs to the back of your TV anyways. Additionally, you have all of your typical LED light strip features which is controlled through the Govee App. Overall, it is a good product but isn’t perfect. PROS: • Cheaper than HDMI variants while still having good reaction time and semi-accurate colors. • Comes with 15 lighting zones all of which can be a different color. However, when reacting to content it appears to have ~3 zones from my testing. • Overall brightness is good. • Setup is easy and straightforward. But I had an issue with my first camera not working so had to get a replacement. • Govee App is user friendly and easy to navigate. But looks a bit basic. • The Govee App has a ton of different features. Such as a dedicated color wheel, a color wheel showing different emotions to set the mood (horrify, mysterious, angry, anxious, concerned, worried, afraid surprised, amazed, interested, happy, etc.), and unique themes that will play different effects that will constantly move from zone to zone which is really neat. Overall animations are relatively smooth but not perfect. • If you happen to have multiple Govee lights you can sync them all together allowing them to react to whatever is on the screen or sync with other features of the lights listed above. • The reactive camera really adds to the immersion of the media you are consuming (gaming, movies, TV). • The reactive camera does a great job with Dark Scenes. Where it will give off a dim blueish light and then gets bright in the area where brighter lights or highlights come across. Really making you feel like you are there. • Can set whatever the dominant color is for the entire light strip or individual zones when reacting to the screen. • Can be controlled by Alexa. CONS: • Saturation is so-so. It was improved after tweaking it. But at times was also completely off where I was like where are you getting that color from? • My first one had a broken camera, so I had to get a replacement. • There is a slight delay when changing from scene to scene. As it needs to see it and process it. Not really a con, more so a limitation of the tech which also limits the accuracy of colors. • Stock colors are not fully accurate. Orange comes off as more of a yellow. Yellow comes off as more of lime yellow. But if you adjust the slider you can get the correct color. I had a hard time with white all around whether it be warm or cool. As when it was on the warmer side it was always too yellow and if it was on the cooler side always too blue. • If you have other ambient light on in the room it can trick the camera. For best results you should use it in a dark environment without reflections. • The camera mounts to your TV which can be distracting as an eyesore. However, to me it blends in well after a short period. • Privacy wise I think you are good. As the camera is only facing the screen. But is still a camera connected to the internet. • Colors appear to be taken from the center of the screen over the edges.

I use this For streaming and Video games
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my LG oled C1. This thing is amazing. I set it up on a timer to turn on at 6pm and off at 11pm everyday. If the tv is off, only a faint light is emitted. Works great with Video games and watching tv. I’m just upset that I purchased a different LED kit about 8 months ago that didn’t do any of this, but now I’m good.
