Not too big of a change so I would say if you into Metallica all the way its another for you. But, for those who picked it up to hope for something towards the old Black album its not there. All and all cd isn't bad as a whole.

Metallica - still okay after all the years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am mixed on this CD. Title track is the best Metallica song since And Justice for All. The entire cd sounds like a blend of their first 4 albums but many of the songs are just ok. Definitely buy the THREE CD set - the 3rd disc has covers, a tribute and live versions of the awesome old stuff.

Disappointed

Sadly, outside of a few songs, this album was a major let down. There are moments of raw Metallica grit and thrash, but not many. Best songs: Mother Into Flame, Atlas Rise, and Halo on Fire. Only recommended for true Metallica fans.
