More like classic Metallica
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Liked that they didn't get weird like on St Anger.

Good release
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a metallica fan since '86. This release is not too bad but i think it could have been great if it was condensed to one cd. Too me the overall release feels like load and death magnetic. The bonus disc is a great addition as well. Keep in rocking!

Good Effort
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this cd but unfortunately it doesn't compare to old school Metallica(and justice for all and older). Every time Metallica puts out a new cd I hope that it somehow can sound like the old stuff but it never does.

OK album, not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This album is ok, not great. The songs are kind of generic and all sound about the same. I would stick to the classic Metallica albums, but the 3rd disc is a good live album with the classic songs recorded for Record Day 2016,

It's fine, it's really OK
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New Metallica hyped up to be a "return to form" and and all that. I've been a big fan of Metallica since the beginning and enjoy all their releases. My motto is if its good, its good. With that being said, this is just OK to me. Some OK hard rock and metal with maybe 3-4 solid tunes. It's a little overwhelming clocking in at almost an hour and 20 minutes. Probably could have pared it down to a single disc with the stronger tracks and then overall it might be a little better. I actually thought Death Magnetic was a stronger "return to form" than this. Just my 2 cents though.

Metallica's heyday has long passed them by.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's beyond evident that Kirk's guitar talents were left out (or at least not given much attention). Though he lost files containing riffs that he recorded for Hard-wired, when they were lost, that's just the direction that the album went. The lyrics are decent and the guitars are barely better than the drums {which given that it's Lars doesn't say much}. Some tracks like "Lords of Summer" and "Remember Tomorrow" aren't new, just filler or not on a released album yet. I hoped for more than got little. I almost regret buying it honestly. Thank God it was only $9.99 {3-cd}.

OK album
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new Metallica is good, but to me, not near as good as Death Magnetic. If you are a big Metallica fan you will like it, but if new to Metallica, I recommend listening to some older albums first.

Maybe I am just getting older
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a fan of Metallica. I played their black CD so much i killed it. It took me a while to come around to Load and Reload especially after CD's like Ride the Lighting, And Justice for All, The Black CD, Master of Puppets. I was not a fan of St. Anger. I did like Death Magnetic to a certain point. However either I'm older or my taste are changing. Either way I am not the greatest fan of Hardwired. I can't put my finger on it. The deluxe CD comes with live versions of older songs and I love them better then the new stuff released on the CD.

Average
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This album is average, compared to their other albums. I have to keep listening to it to like it more. It just leaves me wanting more from them, even though there's 3 cds in there! :)

Should of came with DVD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a deluxe version I am a bit disappointed to receive 3 cds, 2 of which are the full album split in two. Also the 3rd disc should have been a dvd and not a live cd (just my opinion)

Good album.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not as good as their earlier albums obviously, but fortunately they throw some older live songs in there as well. I'm not saying that their new stuff isn't good.....just not great....

Wish Hetfield would quit singing...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....and go back to the old style of music. I always get excited for new Metallica and there is usually a few songs that remind me of old school Metallica. Then the ballads begin.

It's decent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked Death Magnetic so I was expecting this one to be really good too but overall, it sounds forced to me and not as polished as Death Magnetic.

The boys aren't what they used to be...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nu-Metallica just doesn't hold a candle the earlier stuff. Not a bad album since they included a lot of older material. Still too much St. Anger in it...

The Band is Sounding Old
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sad to say, but Metallica is starting to sound tired and simply retreading their standard rips. The CD is good, no doubt, but it did not blow me away.

Good Attempt
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a decent album. At least a little step up from Death Magnetic. However, all of their more recent stuff is starting to sound the same.

Not the greatest
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like Metallica but they have better CD's. There are a couple songs that aren't bad but it wasn't worth buying them whole CD for them

Meh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not great, not terrible. Kinda sounds like a bunch of throwaway songs from previous albums. I ran through it twice, now I'm done.
