Only listened to each CD 1 time most songs sound the same different lyrics haven't had time for more chances little disappointed

the package came with 3 CD with a bonus cd with some cool stuff on the disc. over all i give this cd deal a 3 star rating.

Couple of songs are Metallica, rest are "pop", we get a couple of long songs but are kinda meh. Bonus is live recordings.

I have followed Metallica forever, ever since the 2nd LP, and have it all. This is OK, but kind of forgettable. Nothing really sticks out on the studio material. The live material bristles with energy, but you have to get the deluxe version to get it. It doesn't offend, but doesn't excite much either. You need to be a fan to enjoy it, if you are not die hard, you may want to skip it.

This is a pretty good 3 cd release. In my opinion it's not as good as Death Magnetic but it still has a lot to rock to.

This cd is good but wanted the songs to not sound so dated, like old material. Still a must have for any big fan.

A vast improvement over their last effort with the velvet underground. The bonus disc has some great tracks as well.

No where as good as death magnetic but still has a couple of thrasher singles. Definitely get the deluxe edition.

not sure what the hype was all about. overall its average. some decent songs. if you're a fan by all means buy it

This is a good album for hard-core fans, but not a lot of catchy tunes for those who like ballads and fun stuff

I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend. Listened to it straight through once. Not bad. About a week later, on my second listen, I couldn't get through the entire album. The latest album by Fates Warning ("Theories Of Flight") is so much better, but sadly few will ever hear it. Best Buy probably doesn't even carry it. Do yourselves a favor, get that instead.

Three of the songs are decent. The rest all sound the same. Simply a continuation of Death Magnetic.

just the old school matallica to win back fans,bought it listened to it once back in cd coresel

Metallica's newest is another step towards their epic zenith in the late '80's - early 90's.

Not bad for a modern day Metallica album. It will never be as good as their early albums.

Not really great, but not horrible, either. About the same as Death Magnetic. I guess.

The 3rd "Bonus" disc is a great addition. Collects Castaways & "Live" material!

A few good songs, several lackluster ones. Nothing to get too excited about.

I like three songs. Need to listen again and see if I like the whole album.

Not their best work but if you like Metallica you will not hate it.
