Not the best. I'm not happy how they broke the songs up on two cds

If you get the 3 discuss set, the best songs are on the 3rd disc.

Game is good very nice graphics fun to play every one will enjoy

Heard the songs on the radio liked it so bought the album.

This is all heavy metal, no ballads or even catchy tunes.

There is a heavy sameness to this album. After about 3 songs, pick any three, it all runs together. Same tempo, same tones, same aggression and structure. Kind of a letdown after Death Magnetic which I really liked. No wacky time sigs on this one either. Meh.

This was a impulse buy shouldn't have bought it regrets.................

So disappointed. Got this set for my hubby and he was crushed when the second disc wouldn't play. We tried in various CD players and get display of "Disc Error". Now I have to return this one and hope they have another in stock or wait for another to be shipped. ARGH!

Just a cd filled with fillers. Mostly B side songs

What a waste of money. I wish they'd just retire already, they haven't anything approaching a good record since the black album and even that one is debatable. i don't know why I keep giving them chance after chance.

All the hype said they were returning to their roots. Lies, all lies. Metallica has become just another pop rock band coasting on the good name they earned from earlier glories.

Why, why why, I have been a fan since 1984 and every new album since Black gets worse and worse. The best part here was the Live disc, until they ruined the classics too.

Gets boring after a couple of listens. Moth to Flame is good. The rest has it’s moments but comes off like a band searching for itself.

Purchased the 3 disc version. Great value for the product.. 1st cd from Metallica in years.

Metallica is a very over-rated band. not even a great Metal band

Bought the 3 CD set for 9.99 at Best Buy yesterday. I'm a guy that looks at the Black Album as where Metallica lost it. If you are like me, then you will not see this album as that great. Hardwired and Spit out the Bone are two good fast songs that are a gift to the old fans. You have to tell yourself that this is a Rock album and not a Metal album, then you will have the right expectations. The production is fantastic on all songs and the CD has better sound than anything I hear on the net. The bonus CD makes it all worth it. They made some changes to Lords of Summer and it just sounds really good and clean. I like the live versions of the old songs and the clean production on the bonus CD. Regardless of where you stand on the Metallica fan spectrum, I would say if you ever liked this band, then spending 9.99 on a 3 CD set for some good Rock n' Roll is worth it. And if you are around 40, like me, then it is cool to get a nice 3 CD set and it kinda takes you back to the record store days of our youth.
