Metallica's newest album is an absolute must have for any metal fan!!! The sound is clean, loud, and aggressive! This is their best album in years, and one you must have in your collection!! Kuddos to James and the boys! Don't miss out on this one!!

I have listened to Metallica since I traded for the No Life Till Leather E.P. & then saw them live in 1983 on the Kill'em All Tour in my Jr.High days. Hardwired is the closest they've come to sounding like the band that blew my mind & ear drums over 30 yrs ago. I recommend buying the deluxe set to get the bonus disc as it is well worth the extra 3 bucks!

This is a good Metallica album. It is not there best album, but it is definitely not their worst.I bought the deluxe version which has an extra disc of live takes.They could have probably taken the other 2 discs and pulled off the songs and made one very good cd instead of 2 that are good. Overall, if you are a metallica fan, get it. If not, probably pass.

Sonically it is just like Death Magnetic, but tmore of the riffs are stipped down. It like a combo of the black album and Kill 'em All. My only complaint is probably didn't need to be a double album; there is a handful of songs that are kinda "meh".

Much better than the last album. St. Anger wasn't what I am used to from this awesome band. Hardwired to self-destruct is definitely a make up, love the new songs, reminds me of the original stuff. Can't wait to see them in Pasadena this summer!

Wow! That's my opinion. It's way better than expected. There are at least 3 song the band will have to play live the rest of their lives. Maybe 4 or 5 songs. Just buy it. Don't let the first song fool ya. It doesn't represent the rest of the album.

I really didn't know what to expect from Metallica after eight years but "Hardwired" is much better than expected. If you are a Metallica fan who enjoys the majority of their back catalog or if you like old-school metal you should like this album!

So, I'm a pretty big Metallica fan so I'm a little biased going into this. This is a good album, but Death Magnetic was better. The bonus tracks are good and should have been included on the main discs (but then why would anyone buy the deluxe edition?) I'm not gonna get all "old vs new" Metallica, but I'm pretty sure that any fan will like this album.

As most Metallica fans, I didn't know what to expect from the ferocious four but must say that I can't stop listening to this 3 CD set! Every week that I own this, I change my mind on which disk is my favorite....Don't miss out on the bonus CD!!

After 8 long years, the thrash masters are back. Great follow up to Death Magnetic. Interesting to hear some classic Metallica riffs in some of the songs but with a new twist. Plus you get the bonus CD. Must listen to again and again and again.

Very good album. Sounds like a mix of Death Magnetic and the Black album, somewhere in between. Very guitar heavy, lots of guitar solos and long intros before the lyrics. Two disc set could be cut down to 1 if the long lead ins were cut by seconds. Some of the lyrics could use improvement, but overall an excellent addition to my Metallica collection.

Great price and love the Album. What do you need me say it's a Metallica CD the cost was good the convenience was great. Glad it was available at the time I went in. You didn't have what I actually was looking for a jump stick for a smart tv

If you are a Metallica fan and you have been on the fence about new music fear not. The boys are back better than ever. You won't regret this purchase. Do yourself a favor and go buy this, I guarantee you'll thank me (but you don't have to).

CD was ok but not as good as previous ones. Was disappointed but it had a few good tracks

I didn't care for the machine gun riffs and ringy snare of the last couple albums. This album is more like early 90's Met in that it has some tonality, some dynamics and tempo variations. I really like it. They fall in to some of the recent bad habits on a couple songs but for the most part, if you're a 30 year fan like me, you'll welcome this.

Being a die hard Met fan, it takes me a while to really like newer albums since I grew up during the golden age of metallica -- MOP, AJFA. After a few days of listening to D1 of the 3 disk pack, I became really impressed. It's nice to have a recorded version of LOS and the live songs, but Disk 3 is weakest link with a cra ppy set of songs.

This is the 3 CD version. The first 2 CDs are the latest album in full. The third CD is a bonus CD which contains cover songs, unreleased songs, and a live set. This is the must have version.

Couldn't wait to get this deluxe edition CD. I wasn't disappointed, it sounded awesome! All 3 discs were excellent even for them to include live recordings from this past record store day was unexpected. Totally content with my purchase.

Didn't really have high hopes for the CD based on the last effort. It still seems like Metallica trying but not quite playing Metallica pre-Black album but it's better than a garage band trying to Metallica which is what I thought of Death Magnetic. Songs are a bit too long and don't seem to get anywhere fast but still worth a listen to.

Metallica has returned to full on power punch to your head. This disc brings me back to the great era of Metallica - 1980's & 90's. This is a must buy for anyone who loves Metallica, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. Buy it and turn it up!!!
