I have all of their albums and seen them live many times. The first time I saw them, they had long hair still! I always enjoy their music especially when I need to get some aggression out. Get this and turn it up!!!

Son saw this in the store and said it was a good buy. So I went back later and got it for him for Christmas. He loved it! Husband enjoys listening to it too. They've even put it in a karaoke machine and sing along.

I've been rocking out to Metallica since I was in junior high school. And if the guy I was back then could hear this album...he'd say the same thing I'm saying right now: METALLICA ROCKS!!! NOW AND FOREVER!!!

GREAT ALBUM! BEST IN A LONG TIME FROM METALLICA. REMINDS ME OF THEIR MUSIC BACK IN THE 80'S AND EARLY 90'S, VERY HARD AND VERY CALCULATED IN A GREAT WAY. LOVE ALMOST EVERY SONG WHICH IS RARE AFTER 'AND JUSTICE'

Metallica has gone through many changes and "personalities". This album with multiple CDs is once again trying to bring us back to the original Metallica. While not perfect, it is good to listen to them again.

If your going into this hoping for Master Of Puppets and/or Ride The Lightning you will be disappointed. That era of Metallica is long gone. That being said the album is strong and has a lot of heavy, in your face music. My only complaint is that it's too long. For fans of Metallica's later catalog only.

Omg love this new album. 3 disc set is so worth it. Live music sounds great. Nice to have a new album from the greatest metal band. Reminds me of the old days before St. Anger.... great job... great songs...

Getting Better, Still Not a Classic

Hardwired...could be trimmed down to one great album. As it stands, there a few tracks that could be skipped, culling 2 albums worth of material down to one. I do enjoy it more than Death Magnetic overall and it's miles above that dumpster fire of an album that was St. Anger. One thing I really dislike on the album is 'Murder One', their supposed tribute to Lemmy. It's painfully obvious that the music was written for something else, then at the last minute, they decided to shoe-horn some Motohead lyrics in there and call it a day. Where is the rumbling bass line? Where is the speed? For a man and band that had so much influence on the band, this tribute song shows NONE of that. The 3rd live album is unessential. I've listened to it once or twice since I had it and feel no real reason to revisit it anytime soon.

Old-school Metallica with a bit of a new twist! These guys could sing the alphabet and make it rock. I recommend getting the deluxe version for the live concert disk. It's worth the extra couple of dollars.

While a lot of material is here, the new stuff is ok. The funk groove they have come accustom to doing is solid. Two good old style thrash songs for the older fans I guess. Bonus stuff is good too,but most already have it in other live shows or on original songreleases. Worth the purchase in the end.

Really enjoying new release. I purchased the deluxe edition which includes a live disc of material that was well worth the cost! Hardwired...To Self-Destruct has been worth the wait for Metallica fans!

Metallica is back in form with new energy and great songs. When a great band starts to age sone just go on doing the same old thing, but Metallica just got hungry again and kicked it into the next Level.

As a Metallica fan I try to buy every single CD they produce but a few of them have been not that good. This one is great. At least five songs are really great filled with great and powerful riffs.

I've listened to every Metallica album at least once. Just LISTENED, not purchased. Honestly, the last Metallica album I bought before this one was The Black Album the day it came out. At the time, I liked most of it. Everything they did after that just didn't hold my interest for several reasons that I won't burden you with here. Fortunately, this album is much more enjoyable for me. Between all 3 CDs though, I feel like it could be condensed to 1 extremely solid CD. The studio tracks on 3rd disc really feel like they didn't need to see the light of day, at least in their current form. Overall, as a fan since the late 80s, I think this is worth buying. It's definitely get back to the style of Metallica that I loved, but not quite there. Overall, it's solid enough and I would LOVE to see them on tour.

I have to accept that they aren't as hard or progressive as they were in the 80s. But they set a high bar. This one isn't as good as the classic but this CD is still better than almost any other band.

MetalliF*****cA!!!!! Good album, sorta made me forget that it's been 8 years since Death Magnetic. A nice mix, some thrash, some heavy, some lighter. All good riffs, good s***. I could not rip discs onto my xbox 360 but i was able to get them on my laptop and play the music through it that way.

This limited three disc release from a metal icon is excellent! Not sure why they needed three CDs for this as first two combined are 78 minutes which would fit on a 80 minute disc... but still cool!

Would say this is Metallica's best album since The Black Album. Disc 1 is the better of the 2. The Cover Songs/Live EP Disc 3 is ok. James' voice sounds great. Def a must have if your a Metallica fan

Rather than compare this album to previous ones, I’ll just say that this is a very good Metallica album, but not great. I tend to like the faster stuff so the slower songs are a bit boring to me. I recommend the deluxe version which has 3 CDs of music for only $10. (It’s probably more now.)
