    Today, Asif and Matt came to troubleshoot the Sonos system amp. They were able to identify the issue and make some setting changes to solve it. Additionally, they improved the function of my Harmony remote and some setting features of my smart TV and Apple TV. They answered all my questions and I learned more helpful informaiton.

    Geek Squad has proven to be an excellent service for Home Theater Troubleshooting. I have nothing but praise for service rendered at my home. The agent "Brandon Williams" was on time, respectful, knowledgeable, skilled, and professional. My problems were resolved and I'm enjoying life!

    They can come in then zero, in for making products get organised. There are major process of the of root causzation. getting cut apart by getting the right part delivered at t he wrong time or bringing the freezr out from Louisville warehouse towards Mt Sterling in mileage . When asked the freezer was to go with the order to find out, thay we were moving the freezer that was on hold on 2 different date but yet,they returned with another freezer which was the last thing, we just wanted to install one everything inside the house. Since they were 1 item per trip for delivery to the residence. The garage feeled & was packed with boxes on the floor, yet the last time they tried to deliver hold freezer until we get a motival approval on what to do. So they got instructions from the interview. This entire situation if a double or tripple costs, gm needs to take a tour for delivers in 12 hrs & see what inhibites

    Expertly skilled staff! They troubleshooted a very outdated sound system with oodles of wires and speakers to make it work, in the home that we recently purchased. I am looking forward to working with them to modernize the equipment in the house this year.

    Geek Squad troubleshooting receiver problems

    I was having a problem with my Denon receiver last month connecting to my TV. I first tried calling the Denon service department for help spoke to two different technicians and they told me my HDMI connection was bad and that I needed to send the receiver back to them to fix it. I decided to use the Geek squad for the first time to see if they could figure out what happened. Two technicians came out and also told me my HDMI connection was bad. After fumbling around they said I could connect my receiver if I used an Optical connection that I bought from them at that moment. Unfortunately my receiver is is a cabinet and in order for it to work I had to leave the door open so the receiver could work my speakers. The technicians didn't suggest a work around for it, so I researched what to do and saw I could possible use an IR connection to resolve my problem. I went back to my Best Buy in NJ and told them I was unhappy with the service call I received. I spoke to a couple of managers and they agreed to send someone else out. The second technician they sent out was outstanding. He figured out that nothing was wrong with my HDMI and fixed it so I could still use that connection then having use an optical or IR to make my receiver work. I also told him my base wasn't working properly and when he checked it he found out it was not connected to the right port. Somewhere along the way the first two technicians must have messed it up. My warning to all of you is that if your not happy with the service you need to complain because it's obvious all Geek squad technicians are not of the same high quality. My faith in using them was restored and it is my go to store for all my technical needs.

    1 hr and 43 min call to return faulty TV

    I received a TV with a cracked screen. I noticed it as soon as I took it out of the box. As part of the delivery, I had BB take away my old tv, which still worked, I was just upgrading. I called the driver back to take this TV back and bring back my old TV. He said he couldn't unless BB instructed him to do so. I called BB, was on the phone for 43 minutes. I was told that there was nothing they could do until the warehouse processed the delivery. I was told I would receive a call the next day (Easter Sunday) to schedule the return and delivery of a new TV. I confirmed several times that I would receive a call, emphasizing that it was a holiday. I never received a call, and called myself. There was no record that I was supposed to receive a call (despite the call being recorded for quality assurance). This time I was on the phone for 33 mins to get the pickup and delivery of a new tv scheduled (five days later). I asked for some compensation for my time, and was told there was nothing they could do until the return is processed, and that I would have to call back to receive compensation. The new tv was delivered, and I called for compensation. I was on the phone again for 27 minutes, only to be offered a $50 gift card that I will receive in 7 to 10 days. In total, I was on the phone for 1 hour and 43 minutes to return a damaged item and all I was given was $50. This is a joke. There was absolutely no measure of urgency to make up for their mistake. I truly felt like I was just being placed on hold over and over again to see if I would go away. Now I have a $50 gift card to a store I want absolutely nothing to do with. It's no wonder Amazon is driving these stores out of business.

    Special Agent Ben Installed My Marantz Receiver

    Special Agent Ben I cannot say enough about. He determined that our receiver had overheated and recommended a new Marantz receiver. Best Buy home advisor Michael Pollard recommended a Marantz Cinema 50 which we purchased along with an insurance plan. The very next day Special Agent Ben arrived and installed same. He labeled all wires, added protectors on wires (you could tell he was a meticulous person), calibrated entire system, showed me how to operate the system, downloaded two apps, the Marantz App and the Heos App. He videoed how to operate both apps for my husband who was not here at the time. We also talked about purchasing the Apple TV system and he explained about how it worked so I could "pull the plug". This Special Agent needs a raise and a promotion immediately. As an add on, I would also suggest to whoever is in charge of Best Buy that they strongly consider adding a Best Buy store in the valley, hopefully Wasilla. I know I'm not the only one that every time I need something it is from Best Buy and have to drive to Anchorage to buy it. You would also create a lot of jobs for the valley. Just sayin. . .

    We have TDS cable, and we were notified that there is an "upgrade" called TDS TV+ available to replace our old BendBroadband Alpha system, which was showing signs of aging. I won't go into details, but what we weren't told when we agreed the upgrade is that the new system uses Bluetooth to control the cable boxes, and their remotes don't support infrared (I/R), or RF. Our living room has a home theatre system and the components are in a rack in a closet 23 feet away. The TV uses I/R to turn on, which is hardwired to the components in the closet. We have a Harmony Elite remote there which supports I/R, RF, WiFi, and Bluetooth. When the Geek Squad tried to reprogram the Harmony Remote, they had to do some gymnastics in order to get the remote to work with the cable box at all, though it doesn't do everything it at least turns the TV on and off, shows the menu and guide and some other functions. They are to be commended for finding a way to at least get the very basic functions ... no thanks to TDS. The Geek Squad was here when they said they would be, and couldn't have been nicer

    I had my surveillance cameras rewired and geek squad did a very good job. They came out in a timely manner and were very professional. I used total tech support which saved me a tremendous amount of money. I would have given them 5 stars, but I my credit card was over charged and it took weeks to get the credit refunded back to my card. Overall, I am very pleased with their service.

    Love the new TV, and there was more than expected to install it, however, the time went quickly. Geek Squad came out to better explain the remote, and two days later the sound went out. The Online Geek Squad was not able to fix it. We were unhappy to have to wait two weeks for an appointment, but when they came out the Geek Squad Tech, Rob, was able to find the cable problem and fix it rather quickly. We really like having the Geek Squad Support, but waiting two-weeks for an appointment is too long.

    The two Geek Squad members that came to my home were excellent. They found the connection issue within minutes of their arrival and had it fixed in 10 minutes. They were very polite, thoughtful and knowledgeable. I tried calling for service several times and got put on hold and no one ever answered. Finally had to come to the store to get help. But once the guys got to the house, they were great.

    I was forced to return a Samsung 42 in smart TV 5 months after purchase. It had an hearing aid attachment connected to the TV so the audio from from the TV would go directly to the hearing aids. Also was connected to the internet through WiFi, to watch Prime video and Netflix. Installed the TV but none of the added features were working. After exhausting all of the technical resources in the appartment complex, I called the Geek Squad. The technician came the next day and reviewed the TV set up and did not find any problems with the install and set up. However the WiFi was too weak to pull in the connection to the internet. The technician recommended I get a modem from the cable company and a new cable box. All working fine. Others in the apartment complex having the same or similar problems are being recommended by the maintenance director that they create their own Wi-Fi network, as I did to get better internet connection in their apartment. Geek Squad knowledgeable technician's recommendation resulted in many happy customers.

    Your tech had two assignments: one of trouble-shooting and the other of education. He was prompt, thorough, helpful. He identified the source of a problem (a defective Fire Stick) and showed me how to operate some sound and video components. Job well done.

    Geek Squad rep addressed problem where sound bar kept turning itself on and off… seems the primary issue was not the sound bar, rather the power strip it was plugged into. Thoughtful troubleshooting based on experience; rep also patient and nice. I have consistently had good service from Geek Squad.
