AV receiver malfunction due to needed software.

Within minutes a correct diagnosis was determined. The receiver needed a software update which was installed immediately. Squad tech and assistant were also in time. Great job.

The Geek Squad get a 5 for Excellent service. The company gets a 1 for Poor service.

Geek Squad Sound Bar Experience

Reinstalled software for new printer.

The representative who came to my home was extremely knowledgeable and knew what he was doing.

TV Setting Adjustments

It did take them a minute to figure out the problem but then they explained it all well enough that next time I can fix it myself!

Customer Service is a Joke!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I be purchased a Sony TV 4 days ago. Everything was great including the gentleman who helped me. Angel at the Pleasant Hill store helped me pick out a Sony 65” tv, set up delivery the next day and he even talked me into extra coverage in case anything happened to it. He said it included any issues that came up, including accidental damage! Why wouldn’t you buy the extra coverage, right? Well the tv fell and broke within the first week but because they didn’t mount it there is nothing they can do. They also said because it’s a Sony, the screen cannot be prepared. Now, after 3 hours of my morning wasted by chatting and talking with multiple people from both Sony and Best Buy, I find out there is nothing that can be done. What made things even worse is the Geek Squad guy acted like he couldn’t care less. I am a retail manager and have worked in customer service for over 10 years.. I couldn’t imagine treating someone like I’ve been treated today. Terribly disappointed!

He was probably the best Geek Squad service tech I ever had work for me. I wish I could say that about all the Geek Squad members!

YES for Total Tech
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was my first time having the Geek Squad come to my home and I did not know what to expect - especially with my limited technical knowledge ( TV issues). There was no reason for my anxiety - I was extremely pleased, The young woman who helped me on the phone understood my issues much more clearly than I expected from my garbled explanation. The lead technician, Frank, and his assistant Jason were terrific. Frank called me in advance to let me know his planned time window to arrive and then again when he was 20 minutes out. As he worked on remote pairing with the TV he explained all, answered my many questions, made suggestions about more efficient memory usage. He gave me time to try many things and helped me understand. He was very patient, and helpful without being condescending. Frank and Jason were both friendly, courteous and professional throughout the visit. They are excellent representatives of your company and service. The woman on the phone (so sorry that I did not save her name) and Frank and Jason make me happy that I went "total tech".

Geek Squad

They listen to every question you ask and take care of it. and when you think of another question they are eager to take care of it. Also like when they come into your home they cover their shoes. Anyone needing help with there TV, I pads, cell phones etc these are the guys to call.

I really want to like this ice maker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Opal 1.0 was a really high maintenance item that required frequent cleaning and stroking. It died. Enter Opal 2.0 purchased at Best Buy. After reading of improvements in design GE made, I took the plunge again. Much better unit….but: Must be thoroughly cleaned at least once a month. Has started leaking intermittently And most recently, it decides to not make ice. The last item is corrected at the moment by unplugging and plugging back in, so it must have a board going bad. Oh! Some may wonder….we have always used highly filtered water in this thing…. On a good day the Opal 2.0 makes great ice and does so quickly. Soft, chewable, enjoyable ice! However, I will not recommend this appliance. It has lasted 2.5 years…a year longer than the first model. Considering this is an expensive unit, it requires too much stoking and lacks durability.

My streaming was returned! I’m thinking about calling them again for a different stereo issue. It’s very worth it to be part of this service.

Had issues after they left and ended up buying a new receiver which they got up and running. No issues since then and TV and receiver work fine.

Geek Squad got out soundbar back working.

He was very knowledgeable and imparted info I never knew about the capabilities of my soundbar. I had a control I never knew was so vital to the operation of my soundbar until it was demonstrated by him. I have never ever gained so much info. It made me proud to be a Geek Squad member. I don't remember his name but he was at our home on Sunday Dec 24, 2023. He was very professional and proficient. Don't take this the wrong way. Other Geek Squad associates have been very helpful and informative but this guy tops the list.
