    Disappointed with this experience with Geek Squad

    I lost access to both cable and two streaming services so I paid for the Geek Squad to come out to fix. The apparent leader of the GS decided in about 3-4 minutes that the problem was that my cable box had died, and that I needed to call for a replacement. I then asked a question about an easier way to handle cable and two streaming services. His answer was that a Roku would take care of it, but it might be a little tricky. And they would be happy to come back by at no cost to help me if I couldn't make it work. The two GS guys left after about 15 minutes. I bought the Roku and got stuck part way through the installation. Left messages, but no response. And the real kicker in this was that there wasn't anything wrong with the cable box. Spectrum fixed it remotely, and that cleared up problems I had receiving both cable and streaming. And now I have a Roku that might be nice, but I can't figure out how to get it to deal with one of the streaming services. I've had good success with the GS before, but not this time. It felt like they leapt to a conclusion so they could be on their way quickly.

    My Gawd...DO NOT PURCHASE SAVANT SYSTEM. over-HYPED..OVER SOLD!!! Pls Do your research... -Remotes Sulk -New Execs cutting costs - Tech /Reps who know the deal/new conditions, but cannot/will not...They need to feed family...kids.. -BB? exploring every Avenue to raise fees/cut /extended Warranty Benefits.

    My appointment was cancelled; no one told me why. Although I was able to schedule a reasonable alternative appointment, once I arrived, the Geek Squad told me it was unauthorized thus unable to do any work at all for my phone issue. Why did no one tell me about this before the first appointment then forcing my bad experiences of this wasted time and disgust?
