Nice guys but…

Promised they would call within a couple days to reschedule with someone that knows how to program our theater system remotes. It’s been 9 days and haven’t heard a thing. Spent well over $10,000 less than 2 years ago on this system and continue to have problems. This is the 4th or 5th time we’ve had the same prolem. We paid for the service contract and haven’t been happy at all. Guess I’ll have to go through the trouble of calling Best Buy myself and try to find someone that knows what to do and then wait over a month again for an available appointment.

Horrible 5 month experience

In December same problem comes up - GS said we needed new TV. Bought the recommended one. February- same problem. GS said we couldn't have 2 receivers of the same brand next to each other. I spoke personally with Best Buy manager who admitted that the GS just wanted to get out of my house. I had to go out to a BB as arrangements on the phone are LITERALLY impossible. Arranged for the original installer to come (had to wait 3 weeks). Then he cancels the day before. Guess who calls to replace him- the GS member who told me I couldn't put 2 receivers next to each other. I promptly called another professional company who fixed the problem on 20 minutes. I would never recommend GS to anyone ever. They also told me that my theater system could not do 4-channel output- also false. You need to do a better job training these guys.

Harmony remote

Geek Squad did diddly-squat. Unit still broken.

She didn't bring in any equipment to troubleshoot, just her hands. She fiddled around with some wires, unplugged some stuff and plugged it back in, and came to the conclusion that my unit was not working. Gee, thanks. I could have done that. My unit is still broken and Magnolia has yet to return my numerous calls and emails. To say Best Buys/Geek Squad lacks in customer service is an understatement.

Initially troubleshoot my problem

We had to schedule another appointment for a technician to come out to resolve the issue. I would’ve like for the person responding to be able to resolve the issue.

Did NOT troubleshoot anything …

Technician did nothing with the Sonos system touched nothing. My One Speaker compatible with Sonos he showed me a button that needed to be pressed on my cell phone to have it on.

He tried to help

My speakers magically started working while he was here but I tried them again the next day and they did not work again.

Don’t believe the hype.

Instead of replacement the whole system they kept changing parts that were refurbished. Terrible. And communication is as bad.

Not happy with Service

After verification they confirmed that its not to to work and suggested to go to store to pickup replacement TV. Then I visited store and met Geek Squad person he verified technician comments and confirmed that eligible for replacement of TV. After 2 minutes he said system not allowing for replacement and suggested to drop off the TV in store so that best buy technical team will cross check and decide the replacement option. Not sure why the geek squad person changed his mind. I am not fully satisfied with the technician visit and store person. These guys should know the terms and conditions properly and inform the same to customer. If they don't have proper knowledge on terms and conditions then this is going to happen always.

Never Again 3rd Party Installers!

Ring Camera was NOT WORKING AT ALL!!!! The Quality of the Camera is just OK....not at all What I expected....

Best Buy doesn’t care if your brand new tv breaks

I purchased the extended warranty at close to $500, but it doesn’t seem to matter. The tv broke after only 3 months Best Buy has never once’s called. I have initiated every call after each service appointment they results in my Tv still not working. This is a nightmare. Best Buy simply doesn’t care. This time table and multiple service appointments is unacceptable. Samsung is a nightmare too. Don’t buy the frame tv.

Geek Squad confirms I bought a LOUSY SAMSUNG TV

TOTALLY USELESS

The new Sony TV worked just fine! I purchased the Total Tech package on everything! I waited a week for an appointment with The Geek Squad…they came out and tried to get it to work doing everything I had already done! They told me it was blown so I asked if they brought replacements with them as I requested at the time I make the appointment! Of course they told me that they didn’t have new equipment for me…that I would have to go in the store and repurchase everything! This is beyond frustrating as I had to make two trips back and forth to Best Buy lugging everything! But the real kicker was that I could have done that in the first place rather than waiting a week without the use of my equipment! Sad….
