    "Lost" tv with no customer support

    I ordered a 75" tv, figured it would be easier to go with the free delivery for liability purposes. One of the worst decisions I have ever made. Delivery was attempted 8 days ago. They called me to let me know that because of low hanging branches the delivery couldn't be made. It was a poor excuse and quite ridiculous, but nonetheless i was fine with that and asked what I needed to do to just pick up in store. He said that I would be contacted later to either reschedule. After 4 days, no contact. I called and that is when the nightmare began. By no means of exaggeration, I have spent over 3 hours on hold and over an hour speaking with different representatives. All because the driver added notes that the delivery could not be made, however they made the mistake of marking the delivery "complete". An honest error has somehow completely upended their internal systems and now this product is somewhere in a black hole, and I am unable to receive it. I was told that it would take 12 hours to change in the system, at which time I could then reschedule or pickup. That was apparently incorrect as I called back after 24 hours, and they told me that it could take 24-48 hours (which was 24 hours from that call if you're following). Calmly I wait again, which brings me to my last conversation 7 days after original delivery date. All I would like to do is pickup a product that I had purchased. I spoke to a representative, then a "manager". The manager was absolutely no help and provided no support or remedy. At this point, I have paid for a product that they will not provide access to, so I guess the next call is to American Express to dispute my charge. I have attempted to resolve this several times, but best buy and geek squad have provided the worst customer service experience I have ever witnessed. Very sad considering such a simple exchange and an issue that should be very easily resolved. Because of their lack of internal checks-and-balances, these semantics have made this situation spiral out of control.

    Tech support that will keep your credit card or…….

    I was talked into buying total tech during my purchase yesterday. What I did not know until after I slid my credit card is that my credit card would be kept hostage until further notice so that they can do an automatic renewal when my year subscription is up. I would be lying If told you that I thought the two knuckle heads that rang me up seemed competent but, they did tell me I could call in and have them remove my credit card at any time. Today the 800 number told me that they had two options Tge first one was to cancel my membership and the second one was to leave it alone? The first thing that popped in my mind was that this tech support must really suck if they have to keep your credit card or else? The other thing that concerned me is that my purchase was for a gift and well I guess it will have to be the gist that keeps on giving and that I got screwed into purchasing something under false pretenses for someone else that a year from now I will pay for again unless I can remember to cancel it? What?
