    tech seemed in a hurry to finish, after my service job was pushed to the next day. then, he hung the tv, and did not offer an assistance with helping me to learn about the tv. tech did connect the sound system, but again it was new, and no instruction was provided.

    This is long because this issue took nearly SIX MONTHS to resolve. First, I need to say that we are TotalTech members, which we pay over $200/year. This includes free delivery and installation on anything we buy, along with “VIP” service. Ha. We have a rental property in Arizona (we live in SoCal.) We needed to replace the microwave and dishwasher in before renting the house. In December 2021 we made both purchases online and wanted to schedule the installation for when we planned to be in town in January making other minor repairs at the house, but they could not accommodate our schedule. So we scheduled the delivery and installation for February when we were due to be back again. The day before we left, I called and confirmed both appliances were still on track to be installed the next day. We drove the 350 miles, confident all would be well. About an hour before the end of our scheduled window, I got a call from Best Buy saying that unfortunately, because the dishwasher was not in stock (even though the website clearly indicated it was), they would need to reschedule our appointment. What? WHAT??? Unbelievable! We had no choice but to rent the house with the non-working microwave and dishwasher and coordinate with the renters to be home for the installations. The appointment was set for two weeks after they moved in. We still could not get the dishwasher that we ordered (four months prior!) so we had to change the order to a different brand. For some strange reason, they needed to be installed in two separate appointments, but they did both get installed on 4/14. Whew! Finally! But…the next day the renters reported that smoke started pouring out of the dishwasher! So a replacement was scheduled for TEN DAYS later (4/24). Then Best Buy rescheduled it to 4/27 and they were a no show. Now, at this point (furious!) we made the decision to buy the dishwasher elsewhere and scheduled Best Buy to pick up the non-working dishwasher. The uninstallation/pickup was scheduled it for 5/4, but again did not show up. Finally, on May 11th, 132 days after the original order, the dishwasher was picked up. I haven’t yet seen the credit (it’s only been two days) but I’m fully anticipating a fight on my hands because that is the way this whole debacle has gone. We will NEVER EVER EVER buy anything from Best Buy again. Tell your friends.

    Final Insult: The Code Master

    St Peters, MO Best Buy no longer accepts phone calls and failed to provide a code required to redeem their promotional offer. This could have easily and promptly been solved if the store simply paid attention or answered calls. The BB hotline is a run-around of unhelpful nonsense: #1.Primary Support puts you on hold and transfers to #2.The Digital Download Team, who needs to transfer to #3..."The Code Master." However, the Master apparently lives in the Land of Oz, because it will take 48 hours for His Majesty to send the Code via email. This is the second time they've said they're sending an email within 48 hours to reach me through the Pony Express Internet. They also made it sound like it's my fault by claiming they will "re-issue" an email they never sent to begin with. In the meantime, a week goes by that I can't use what I purchased. I will need return the item before my 15-day return window is gone. During my visit, the in-store staff was not busy with customers or reading-up on product knowledge, they were chatting with each other, so someone could have answered a 30-second call and saved the sale.
