    Poorest Installation Service

    I purchased a gas dryer in December 2021 with payment including delivery, installation, and all installation kits. Upon delivery, the staff moved my old dryer a bit off the wall and quickly glanced at its back, then instructed me that I should've cleared the space prior to their arrival. I am a handicapped senior over 70 years old, but when I asked them to help me move the old dryer to the garage two feet away from the laundry room, they refused. When I said I would get some help from my neighbor, they didn't want to wait and further instructed that there's no gas vent outlet on the wall for them to hook up the gas line of the new dryer. I was not quite sure what they were talking about, but they left hurriedly and said they were having 21 deliveries that day. I later hired a professional plumber to come over and check what things were needed before calling Best Buy to arrange for another installation appointment. He checked and told me that everything including the gas vent access was excellent, and the only trouble he could find was the installation kits brought last time by Best Buy staff. The accessories were for 8" line but my vent hole was 4". So, evidently it should be Best Buy's responsibilities to resolve the issue, but they chose to be so irresponsible and fool their customer. In addition to checking my laundry room, that plumber even moved away the old dryer for me and installed the new one with his own parts and accessories without charging me any additional cost. In total, he only spent 30 minutes at my house to finish the whole thing. I wrote a letter to Best Buy's Chief Customer Officer, but she didn't reply and no anyone from Best Buy contacted me after that either. Bad service, bad attitude, bad support, and bad management are what I could think of to describe my own experience with Best Buy.

    Could not install dishwasher after 3 appointment

    I recently purchased a dish washer from bestbuy. Paid in full in earlier Jun, and booked the installation on 7/31. Their third party came in and said the valve size was not right, they could not install the dishwasher without giving any explanation. They did not haul away the old one which was included in the service and drop off a big machine in the center of my studio. The 2nd time, they were late for 30 minutes out of service window and my tenant had to go for work. They 3rd time, they came and said no certificate to touch and haul away the old one. ( My apartment is a high-rise in the downtown of Chicago -River north). I do not believe the building has special pipe that the installation could not be performed by 3 appointments. The worst part is after the 3 times failed to install, I called their Geek squad (paid the membership in Jun $199), and waited to speak with the representative over 40 minutes. After we confirmed the next appointment, I was getting three emails from Bestbuy saying the schedule confirmed on 8/10 which I confirmed with the CSR. The 2nd email says the appointment scheduled in 8/12, and the 3rd email says please book an appointment. This happened THREE times. It wasted my couple of hours and ruined my weekend.. I would not recommend GeekSquad and certainly do not appreciate their service. The worst customer experience I have had.
