    I really want to like this ice maker

    The Opal 1.0 was a really high maintenance item that required frequent cleaning and stroking. It died. Enter Opal 2.0 purchased at Best Buy. After reading of improvements in design GE made, I took the plunge again. Much better unit….but: Must be thoroughly cleaned at least once a month. Has started leaking intermittently And most recently, it decides to not make ice. The last item is corrected at the moment by unplugging and plugging back in, so it must have a board going bad. Oh! Some may wonder….we have always used highly filtered water in this thing…. On a good day the Opal 2.0 makes great ice and does so quickly. Soft, chewable, enjoyable ice! However, I will not recommend this appliance. It has lasted 2.5 years…a year longer than the first model. Considering this is an expensive unit, it requires too much stoking and lacks durability.

    Max came to “troubleshoot” tv, written by store employee when making appt. when Max came in I told him symptoms and red lights flashing 3 times. He knew then it wasn’t fixable and told me why, which I kind of expected. Plugged in tv and it showed the same problem as before. He said he wouldn’t charge me because he “didn’t do anything”. He was here maybe ten minutes. He was nice, professional. I should have made appt myself so I could have explained the situation and answered any questions Geek Squad or I had. Might have saved a trip!

    Following a service interruption I lost the ability to very sound on my TV. Two members of the Geek Squad came on a Sunday morning (!) and resolved the issue in about 15 minutes. Turned out to be a default setting in the ATT equipment. The guys were very professional and informative. I would certainly recommend them.

    So far we have had a different geek squad out each week for 3 weeks. They have ALL been wonderful. Since our TV is less than a year old the geek squads are having to go thru Sony to get a replacement TV and it is taking quite a long time. We are still waiting and now having to personally provide to Sony the same info the squads have already given them.
