We returned this. It was a little too complicated for me to install and I didn’t want to deal with it just to have my thermostat be a “smart” thermostat. I’m good without it.

As it does say on the outside box back, you have gotta already have in place 24 volts AC feeding this unit (known as the "C" wire). Will not work otherwise. There are workarounds, but returned this particular model anyway, without any problem. Nice.

I purchased hoping to connect my home via the internet. Unfortunately I was not able to use this as the hard wiring requires a dedicated power line. My 1983 home did not have that and there is no battery option.

It didn't work. After rewiring we called Honeywell support who said it didn't appear to work and it should be returned. However, it was after BB's two week return policy.

It works... received a defective one, got a replacement that worked. Not the easiest to connect to devices. Next time, I’ll pay more for a better thermostat.

I was hesitant to go with the Nest because of price so I went with this instead. That was my first mistake. Support and documentation for this product is very poor. To start, this product requires a C wire from the heat exchange. If one is not present, the manual refers the reader to an online site that redirects to a non applicable YouTube channel. For a little more ink the instructions could have been printed. The video refers to a 1-800 number for support but never mentions support hours. Every time the number was called there was never a representative to pick up. Very disappointed.
