I have been using it for several months and I am sure I will be getting the return on electricity savings within a year. Have it on the 2nd floor which we never get used to turn off when leaving the house, now I can do it through my phone and have been cutting $ off my electricity bill.

The setup is a bit clunky in my opinion, but still pretty easy. Would still recommend to everyone I know for a budget smart thermostat.

While it does the job, it doesn't have very intuitive programming. The price makes up for it though. I would recommend this for a second home or rental property.

Installation was simple and programming via the app is very easy. I love the option at turning down the heat remotely while we're gone via the app. The cost of the thermostat will easily pay for itself multiple times over in the first year.

Sometimes I leave it off in the summer and have to rush in and crank the thermostat back to cool off the house. With this I can sign in and turn on the A/C while I am at work or just as I am leaving to go home. I love this thermostat.

In oder to install this one, I need a adapter to generate the fifth c wires. I was not sure where I put the extract device, so I returned it to Bestbuy. One comment is Honeywell could build in an internal adapter if needing a fifth C wire.

Just go to app and switch it yourself is easy enough whether you are home are away on vacation
