I wish I had tried harder to find another version of my old Honeywell, this one is terrible. It too looses connectivity from time to time. The main problem I have is that the touch screen is terrible, I have to tap the same spot 4 - 8 times for the thermostat to register the button push. This makes re-entering my 14+ character WiFi password a nightmare. Even just adjusting the temp is easier for me to pull out my phone and use the app than it is for me to adjust the actual device right in front of me.

The touchscreen however is terrible. Especially for todays standards. After taking 2 hours to connect it to my network, it only stayed connected for 2 week before it stopped working,

Thanks for reaching out with this, when the thermostat disconnects soon after installation, this indicates that your router settings need to be verified with your internet service provider, confirm your 2.4 and 5.0 networks are split.

I tried to contact support and never got help.
