I am sure this thermostat is great, but I couldn’t use it and had to return it because my current thermostat has only 4 wires and this new one needs 5. While it states this in very small print on the back of the box, it would have been great if it stated this in the description so I would not have purchased this in the first place. I did find that there is a work around, but it is more complicated than my need to have a thermostat that can be controlled via WiFi remotely.

We replaced a very dumb "smart" thermostat with this one and it's a huge difference. We have a large two story house and the only way to keep temperatures even is with the circulate function. Now, instead of the upstairs being 8-10 degrees warmer in the winter the temperature difference is about 1 degree consistently. It's a huge comfort difference. It's a great upgrade. It's easy to install - please reference your wiring needs prior to purchase. It even fit over the holes from the previous thermostat's backplate - luck. It is very easy to set up, connect to wifi, and program via the mobile app or a web browser. The feature set and program modes are great. The ability to change the screen color scheme (even custom colors) is a nice bonus touch.

Although the thermostat worked perfectly, it did not work on my system because it does not work with a dual fuel (heat pump-natural gas) system. I did not research this enough before I purchased this item.

I almost immediately noticed that my usual 76 was very cold. At first I assumed it was just because it was a more efficient thermostat until I noticed that a room thermometer that is on the opposite wall of a hallway (2+ feet away) showed that it was actually 72 in the room. My previous thermostat matched the thermometer. When I contacted Honeywell about the 4 degree difference they said up to 5 degrees is normal and something about ambient temperature, etc. that didn't really make sense because 76 should be 76, not 72 with ambient. The thermostat shares a wall with the kitchen, and the thermometer is closer to an outside wall, so I would have assumed the thermostat would have been higher than the thermometer, not lower. So far, it seems to be a consistent 4 degrees colder, but now I have to adjust by 4 degrees all my previous settings for home, away, sleeping, AC and heat.

Really needed a smart thermostat for my rental unit and I like this one a lot. Able to access remotely. Setup was easy and I am now able to control HVAC settings 40 miles away. Highly recommend over the more popular options.

We bought this house in June of 2020 and it had the original thermostats in it (2003). We wanted to put smart thermostats in it to be able to control from the app and put it on a schedule. We bought one in June to put downstairs because if we didn’t like it we would buy a different one for the upstairs. This thermostat is absolutely fantastic. It looks great on the wall it’s easy to read, tells you the outside temp, works with my Alexa, and once a month I get an energy report from Honeywell that tells me how much the unit has been running. I did look at the other smart thermostats out there, but this one just caught my eye more than the others, and it was much less expensive. When I saw this was on sale for $99 dollars, I didn’t hesitate to buy another.

This thermostat works so much better than the last smart one I had. It actually maintains the temperature it states on the face. It is also extremely convenient to be able to change the temperature from my phone. The directions for making a change to forced air unit were easy to follow. I had to splice some wiring and move one of the other wires to a different position and the directions were easy to follow. I’m very happy with this unit. My last 2 thermostats would deviate 3-4 degrees over or under the set position. This one sticks to the exact temp. I had just assumed it was a problem with the main board on the FAU. But it was the thermostat all along. Setting a schedule is also very easy. Don’t need to make many changes manually on this unit.

Great product. Easy to operate. The app means you can control from your phone. Setting up a weekly on/off schedule is super simple. I'm sure my energy bill will go down !! Rv

This item was easy to install with the excellent directions that came with the product. The thermostat works really well and set up was easy. Very easy to control with Alexa and connecting to wifi work much better that most products and it stays connected.

This thermostat replaced a programmable thermostat that had no wifi. I had to have a c wire added to put this in but it was worth it. Easy to program and setup online. Very consistent connection and easy to control and monitor from android and ios. Highly recommend this.

We are very happy with our Honeywell Home thermostat. It has exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this product. It was simple to install, and has been a great addition to help manage temperatures to everyone's satisfaction.

Just what I was looking for. Easy to install. Perfect for being away from home and turning the A/C and heating unit off and on via cell phone app.

Who knew a home thermostat could make life so much better? It's super easy to use and can be controlled from my phone. The digital display is easy to read, even w/o my glasses. It even shows the temp and humidity level outdoors (plus 5-day forecast) and indoors.

It’s a thermostat, it’s hard to get too excited, but it works fine, wasn’t hard to install. The app is decent, so I can control it from anywhere. My only complaint is I’d like to be able to see the history of when the furnace cycles on/off throughout the day.

Very easy to install, just follow the instructions, and don’t skip steps. Also don’t be afraid to call for support, they are just great. Talk about set it and forget it, this one is the bee’s bananas. I am buying two more for my kids homes.

Very easy to install. The Total Connect app gives easy access and control of your heating and cooling from anywhere you have internet access. Great price and very good value.

Love this thermostat. Its super easy to install and program. I really enjoy the options to change the color.
