I have used this thermostat for the past 4+ years. Once you set it up, keeping the temperature at the set or programed point is very responsive and sensitive. Honestly, my other family members said that the heater was more pleasant. And the Alexa commands and capabilities are a cherry on top, and it is such a breeze. I would definitely recommend this thermostat.

I love this thermostat. Our house is very spread out so I needed 5 of them. With my TotalTech membership installation was free, and the 5 thermostats cost only slightly more than my HVAC company quoted me for one thermostat, and an inferior model at that! The features I really like: 1) Easily programmed with the app; 2) if you’re going to move to another room, it’s easy to use the app to temporarily change the temp before you go to that room; 3) can be set to auto-select heat or cool but has to be enabled; 4) can set back-light to off which is important for bedrooms; 5) background color is programmable, A few things I don’t like, which makes it really 4.5 stars: 1) the relative humidity readings are very inaccurate, but they can be calibrated. I used a calibrated hygrometer and thermometer and found wide disparities in the humidity readings, but the temperature was very accurate; 2) said calibration settings are buried deeply in the “advanced preferences” menu; and 3) the touch screen is a little slow, but once you set your preferences you never need to touch it. The app is far more convenient. Highly recommended.

Easy to hook up. Having it accessible via APP is a huge plus. The issues we have is the operation as far as the "holds". It is not as user friendly as it should be. I've had to call tech support because it wasn't blowing on the correct setting. But, once you understand the settings, it's GREAT! I would chose it over the old Honeywell we had and definitely have one that has an APP.

This model of the many Honeywell Thermostats is not as described online. First of all, although its screen can be set to several ugly shades of color, it's only whatever shade you pick and black. It's just plain ugly and not full color as is the 9585 series. It also does not show automatic changeover from heating to cooling. It is not a direct replacement for the 9585 series of Honeywell t'stats which are full color and do auto changeover. It is however, quite a bit cheaper. You get what you pay for.

I wanted a modern thermostat that was easy to program and gave me the information I needed to understand what is going on with my heating and air conditioning units. This does it. I did not want a Nest or other unit that monitors my activity and snoops on what rooms I am in and "learns" about my activity. Those are over the top. The thing could not be easier to use--touch screen, intutitive GUI. Like it.

Had to replace our old Honeywell Home thermostat and chose this one. The thermostat and associated phone app. is so much easier than the prior version. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought another smart thermostat. It was difficult to operate. I traded for this one and wish this would have been my first choice it is easy to use on wi-fi or manually. If you do a replacement I recommend this one

I replaced my 3 Nest thermostats with these and I love them! Set up for all 3 took 15 minutes. The app is easy to use and the design is sleek but not over engineered. Nest is ugly, difficult to use, and overall terrible. Honeywell could teach Nest and Google a thing or two. Excellent product! Highly recommended!

Works great. Can control it from anywhere I have service. Not too expensive either!

This thermostat works very well. Added bonus is the ability to send temperature and humidity alarms. None of the "smart" thermostats actually do anything more than change the settings based on time of day. I am waiting for a thermostat that intelligently cycles the furnace or AC unit, and maximizes the efficiency of the system. No sense on spending more for another brand

I have a very old system that used mercury based thermostat and had a heat pump thus no “C” wire.... I was concerned about not being able to upgrade my thermostat.....called the customer service personnel and Honeywell has a call back option so I didn’t have to be on perma-hold. In a 5 minute conversation and explanation and follow up email... I installed this in 8-10 minutes. Easy to link to wifi and easy to program!
