Easy to install. Simple to program. Very happy with my purchase.

We really like Honeywell thermostats. This one is in our boat, and allows us to change the temperature of the boat based on the weather while we are not there. Also lets us set the temp on our way there, so we are comfortable once we arrive. Highly recommend this for anyone in the market.

Unit and app work fine, but the push button ability of the screen requires a definite and discerning "push" to make the digits advance or decline. Using iPhones as much as we do, I've become used to a more friendly touch. Once you get used to it, it's fine...of course, you can control the unit with your iphone.

Picked this up on sale and its been great . Being able to operate it from your phone makes all the difference . Just make sure you have a c cable before buying or you may have a headache on your hands

I like the smart features. Easy to use. The nest broke within a year.

1) The thermostat is 3-4 degrees off actual room temp at any given time. How do you calibrate the unit? You CAN'T. 2) The thermo thinks it's 74 (it's actually 71 in the room) and I have it set at 74. I push the thermo setting up to 75. You'd think this would turn off the AC. Wrong. It took 17 minutes for the unit to shut off. How is this energy efficient when my previous old thermo would shut off instantly at that operation? The unit turns on again six minutes later. SO if you like your AC running 23 hours a day, then by all means, buy this unit. 3) If you set alerts, the ONLY way to get them is by e-mail. No text. No push notification form the app. I paid for my HVAC company to do the install. Does Honeywell have tech people on the ground to fix this or look at it? No. Are they going to send a provider to swap my unit? No. The best they will do is FedEx me a new one and e-mail me a tracking number. Did I get a tracking number? No. Did I get a return call from support? No. Honeywell thinks I should go without AC I guess. So now I may/may not be getting a replacement and get to pay my HVAC company another trip charge for the install. Only question now is, do I even install another one of these because I don't know if my unit is supremely defective or they all behave like this. Honeywell support was so bad on the phone the rep started reading me instructions from a DIFFERENT model. AVOID!

Does just the same as all the big name brands but for less

Replacing an RTH8500WF which somehow last ability to communicate. Easy setup, easy wiring (follow previous wiring). If you have a Honeywell, plate will line up with old screw holes. Can set max and min (great for a rental apt), has lock screens and 7 day programming. For a c note, not bad.

I’m so glad I bought this thermostat! It’s so easy to use and I love that you can use your phone to control the temperature. Seems to also help save more energy and I was able to get a rebate from my electric company for purchasing this so that was a plus as well! A must have!
