We had it installed professionally by our HVAC guy due to needing to crawl the crawl space upstairs for access to the equipment. Done very quickly. Works flawlessly. Exactly what we wanted to access the heat/AC via phone app. I adjust the heat/AC at any moment & easily change schedule, temp, fan settings without a second thought. Glad we found it & got it on sale! Recommend if you want a simple, smart version of an older, previous Honeywell thermostat.

good looking, compact and easy to use. only issue is we have a two stage compressor and this model does not allow for optimal efficiency. also, I have a wine room with a sensor and this model does nit support a sensor so I couldnt use it for that room.

In this review, I'm gonna break it down into 3 separate parts installation, use, and the app. It should be noted if you're installing this product on an older model unit, year 2000 or earlier with an eight wire set up, there will be a little more time consumption used to install this product. There are booklets of information and 800 numbers included to call customer service if needed. You can also look up your current device for specifications as well, but Honeywell does have included phone numbers for assistance. The UI of this unit is very intuitive. The touchpad itself responds very nicely even while wearing gloves.The display is very bright and easy to read and the option to change the backgrounds is a nice added touch. The menus are very straightforward and easy to understand and the wifi set up is very simple. There is an app download for android and iOS. The app will prompt you to register your device, don't forget the card that's included with the provided paperwork which has your Mac address and your CRC code. Registration takes all of 2 minutes and you're up and running. The interface on the app is very user friendly making it easy to schedule temperatures in multiple zones, away times, and you can even set up when you're gonna be on vacation so you're not wasting electricity. Also included in the app is a 5 day forecast to give you the ability to do some extra planning and to ultimately save you money on your heating and cooling bill. Would I buy this product again, sure. I will likely first check my system first next time but again, there are plenty of phone numbers to call, in case there are extra wires or if you need help. Would I buy or recommend this product for a friend or family member, yes! Although set up was slightly challenging, the perks of the app and the actual product itself, makes this a must buy.

Easy to install and easy to download the app. Have had for about a month now, put one upstairs and one downstairs and they work great. I was even able to set them up to the WiFi while not at home. Would buy again, great purchase for the price.

We have had this now for almost a month, and we love it. We love the ability to be away from home and control the temperature. The installation took about 20 min, we just had to change it to the c wire, which was not complicated at all. The look of the thermostat is very elegant. I highly recommend.

Honeywell has done a nice job with this smart thermostat. Honestly I’m no electrician and I’m not a man looking for fun toys, but even a woman can enjoy today’s technology with this new thermostat. From the app on your phone, you can change the temperature in your home or turn off the A/C and turn on the heat or vice versa. I am enjoying all of the smart home toys that have come out and you can control from your phone. But this thermostat has humidity and temperature outside so you know what you’re looking at when you walk outside. Honestly down here in Florida those are great features and I know a lot of the newer thermostats have them today. Thumbs up to the ease of use and features for sure. The installation was easy. If you have an older home, you will need to check your wiring to ensure it’s updated before buying this product. It may require re-wiring so please don’t buy before you read requirements and check with your electrician.

Great product. Easy to use, the display is excellent and you also get the outside temperature too. The smart feature works great with the app - nice to be able to control when away.

Not compatible with Honeywell’s latest iOS app, so you are left using a VERY dated looking app for control. Not compatible with Apple HomeKit, although it specifies in the literature that you can control the thermostat via Siri. Good looking. Works well as a basic WiFi thermostat to be controlled via a basic app. Also measures and displays in-home humidity, which is kind of neat. Long and short; but a newer Honeywell thermostat that is HomeKit/Alexa/Google Assistant compatible and which uses the better app. Would be worth the extra money.

I love this thermostat. I've programmed my heating and cooling settings and rarely need to adjust them. When I do, I can change them from anywhere, which is incredibly convenient. Installation and setup were straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions, making it a great DIY experience.

This is a great thermostat at a great price. I weighed this against an Ecobee and decided on this one because it provides the wifi fi capability I was interested in for a better price. I was a little hesitant because I have used other older Honeywell wifi thermostats in the past and was not impressed with their non-intuitive functions and accompanying app. This new thermostat and associated app are much better than the older ones.

I had a Nest thermostat before and it was great but I decided to switch it up and bought this Honeywell. I love the size of the screen and that it stays on all of the time since it is visible from the living room. Its not big and bulky, look neat and clean on the wall. The app works great but we did have to set it up online first and then log into the app. So far I have set up the weekly schedule to reduce the amount my system runs while I am at work. And it doesn't hurt that it costs less than the Nest unit I had before.

My old thermostat went out and this thermostat was a wonderful upgrade! I am very pleased with this purchase.

This Thermostat came with easy to install instructions which allowed me to set it up myself. This is the second one I've purchased and both work well.

I needed a new thermostat as my old one did not have emergency heat setting on it. I was looking into purchasing the Nest thermostat and came across this by chance. After reading all the other reviews, I decided on this. I had it installed by my AC guy. Once installed It was very easy to use and it being wifi connected made it so convenient for me to control the temp even when I was out of the country so that my house sitter would have comfortable home to return to after a long winterday's work. Highly recommend it.

Simple to install and works well. Only issue I had is the thermometer being a couple degrees off other readings I was getting. You can calibrate from settings, but it still seems off despite my best efforts to dial in

I recently bought a new house and was really in need of something to control my heat and AC in the house. I had a really lousy thermostat when I moved in and I know I needed better. I wanted something that I could control with my phone so I could make changes wherever I was. This gives you complete control over the "Weather" in your home and even has a few different colors for the display. If you need a smart home, this will help you. If you just want something you can trust to keep things right in your home, done. Also, not being a overly handy person, the set up was remarkably easy and straight forward instructions.
