    Hard to get it to choose the room being used, have to set it to average two rooms.

    Died in 3 years. Honeywell says too bad

    This thermostat died after 3 years. It caused a ground fault to my furnace. I had to pay an hvAC $150 to determine this. Honeywell states warranty is only 2,years. Too bad for me. I paid 200$ for a thermostat that only worked for 3 years. Out $350 in total. Honeywell offered a small discount to buy another one. Liked it until it died.

    Works well for those who have a regular schedule, but only works to know when you come and go from one phone. Also wish you could set a temp range and it would heat or cool based upon the range, but you must switch from heat to cool manually.

    Came with a broken display

    The lcd display didn’t work after I connected all the wires, so I returned it and bought another Honeywell thermostat that was on sale and like the other one better. The other one didn’t have a remote sensor but the lcd screen was in color and had WiFi.

    No need for room sensor(s) if you have a more basic A/C unit, and the unit does not leave much room to accommodate all wiring setups. My wiring was pretty straight-forward, but I had a jump from R to Rc that the unit doesn't allow for the additional wire in each slot.

    My AC unit system is not compatible with this so I need to add the C wire adapter. I’m not comfortable installing it so I need an electrician. I haven’t used it yet.

    Dont Buy If You Expect Reliable WIFI

    Do not buy if you expect your WIFI or IOT devices to work with modern WIFI protocols on the most popular internet providers today. Lost connection and Honeywell is blaming Verizon. At first they were blaming ATT, then acknowledged finally that I was a Verizon customer. Then said that it is a known issue with those internet providers. Not reliable. No support or accountability. Will not help unless I can prove my WIFI is working fine (smart home, nothing else affected). How can you do that over the phone. Waste. Rip off. Worst electronic purchase I ever made.

    Bad customer service and instructions

    I hope Honeywell explained more details instructions on how to install! They have a horrible customer service support and the hold time is almost an hour! I only turned off the AC on my circuit breaker. I do not have any idea that there is a power off switch on my furnace too. Which I burned a fuse on my furnace when I installed this! It cost me an additional $350 to get it fix. The product looks good and I hope it will do what is suppose to do.
