    Poor suction, clogs easily

Was really excited about this vacuum but didn't even get three uses out of it. 1. Warning light kept coming on because carpet fibers were clogged at the opening where the tube meets the dust chamber and as a result debris won't enter into the dust cup and stops working. Note: carpet was not particularly dirty and I don't have pets. Major design flaw. 2. Exceptionally poor suction (even when the opening to dust chamber isn't clogged). 3. Dust cup is difficult to empty - debris gets wedged between filter and cup. You have to use your fingers to pull stuff out. I returned the vacuum. Asked Best Buy sales rep if he had heard similar complaints and he said he did.

This vacuum was good only thing that you gotta watch out for is that the canister can get clogged with too much hair and you got to make sure to check it every so often. I would also point out it can feel a lil weighted if you hold it wrong.

    Subpar Performance for a Hoover

First off, the suction power of this Hoover Fusion Cordless Pet Stick is severely lacking! I was sorely disappointed by this vacuum’s performance, though I’d wanted to love it. After all, Hoover has been a trusted brand of floor cleaning products for generations. That being said, the machine does run relatively quiet, and is easy to maneuver. I didn’t find the handheld unit (which contains the battery) to be unwieldy at all. Emptying the dust chamber was a simple procedure, though getting all the dirt out that clung to the inner filter areas, was a bit of a chore. Also, a basic feature, which was curiously absent, was the lack of a light on the “upright” vacuum’s head unit. As far as included attachments go, they are what you’d expect to get with this type of vacuum. The pet attachment was actually nice and sturdy, and would have been the biggest selling point for me, if the vacuum’s suction power hadn’t sucked. It took longer to go over the same area trying to get up any real amount of pet hair, than it would have taken to just use a lint roller. And, while having a variety of attachments was a plus, the minus comes with there being no included bag or other way to store them along with the vacuum cleaner. Although the machine seems well-made, it definitely is not up to par with the quality Hoover is known for. So, I would not recommend this particular model.

Hi Janine, Thanks for taking the time to review the FUSION Max cordless stick vacuum. We noticed you had a little bit of trouble emptying the dirt cup fully. We have addressed this issue and you can find how to empty it easily through this video here: https://youtu.be/BysFPIJT3Lg, or just follow these steps:
      1. Press the Dirt Cup Release button
      2. Next press the Dirt Empty button over a trash bin
      3. Pull out the separator from the top of the dirt cup (this is the part with the rinsable filter on top. The entire piece is removable).
      4. Wipe away the dirt and debris with a microfiber cloth.
      5. Reinstall the dirt cup making sure that all pieces are properly aligned.
Feel free to call us directly at 1-888-679-2121 if you need any further assistance. Thanks! Jenna Hoover

I have owned several stick vacuums, and this one does not disappoint. Charge time is reasonable and picks up dirt well. It is much easier than bringing out a large vacuum for quick clean ups.

    Hate it!

I hate this vacuum cleaner. I purchased one in June last year, by November (5 months later) I had to change it because it stopped working. I gave it another chance and pick the same one. 6 months later, stopped working again. Returned it and went with Dyson instead. Just pay little more from the beginning and pick a better choice.

Completely Not Working in Less than 3 Mos

This stick vacuum did a decent job at first. After having for less than 3 months (purchased end of January and it is now mid-April), it does not do any of the functions and will not work in either "Carpet" or "hard floor" mode. It does not have ANY suction whatsoever. This is SO FRUSTRATING and makes me never want to purchase Hoover OR from Best Buy again. Yes, it is covered under warranty - but who wants to haul a brand new vacuum all over town just to get what you paid for in the first place. This is UNACCEPTABLE after less than 3 months of use. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!!

    Not good for pet hair

I am having a hard time finding a vacuum that works on hard floor/area rugs and pet hair. I thought this one would be perfect being lightweight and called a “pet stick”. The mode would not stay on the setting I wanted it to. When switching from tile to carpet, the vacuum would not pick up any hair and it would get balled in the brush roll (see photo) I like the feature where you can use it as a hand held and clean the ceiling fan, however, it get pretty heavy rather quickly when using above your head.
