Although it does pick up very well, I think that what most people, including me, want from a vacuum like this to use it for a quick pick up before guests arrive or on a porch etc. The vacuum comes with only one battery along with a charger. When the vacuum battery runs out, you have to stop what you are cleaning and put the battery on the charger and wait. Inevitably when you are doing a quick clean before guests arrive, the battery runs out and you are stuck. There are indicator lights on the vacuum that tell you how much is left in the battery, but you get very little notice. I had a Hoover cordless which gave out after many years that I really liked and it had 2 Batteries so that this didn't happen. Also, the vacuum doesn't go completely flat for getting under things.
