We have had this vacuum for several months now. We live in a very dusty area here in DFW area and the filter requires cleaning after every use because you loose suction. When the filter is new it does a good job vacuuming but you can tell very quickly by listening to it that the filter is clogging and the suction depreciates. The bad thing about the washable filter is it takes a couple days to completely dry before you can use it again. I have gone to Conns, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes and Best Buy to get a replacement filter but none of them carry it for this vacuum. I will check the web and Hoover sites next. I would recommend that you have at least 3 filters that you can swap out while one dries, especially if you live in a dusty area. Overall it does an average job based on our dusty environment.

I replaced a Hoover Wind Tunnel with thia vaccum and it picked up even better than the last! We have two dogs inside with two different hair types and it works GREAT! GREAT suction with easy manageability except for hard floors. Not sure why but it goes back and forth from easy to push to hard to push like it's stuck to the floor from the suction. All that said I bought thia for carpet and it works very well! The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the hard floor issue.

I have always had a Kirby expensive but good recently paid few hundred dollars for a tune up then it died. i broke down and bought this Hoover, I am so happy that I did. j nave 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 kids. This machine is a beast! It sucks up everything works on hardwood floors, carpets has a lot of accessories and is easy to use. I LOVE THIS VACUUM! This is so worth the price!

There was long human hair in my carpet for a long time, I was using different regular (non pet) vacuum and was manually applying brush to collect long human hair. After a little research I found Pet Vacuum is correct appliance to remove long hair. Considering affordable price for vacuum, I found Hoover WindTunnel 2 is good buy, but last minute I decided to take WindTunnel 3 because it has 3 channel more powerful suction comparatively. Though there is considerable price difference between WindTunnel 2 & 3 Pet vacuum, after first usage I am happy for my price and thought to suggest readers to use Hoover - WindTunnel 3 Pro Pet HEPA Bagless Upright for residential purpose. During first apply, set brush rotation to collect long hair, then second apply with out brush rotation to suck dust. I noticed my carpet got cleaned deeply and collected long hair.

Just bought this vacuum yesterday, and so far I love it but i did notice that if you dont pull the cord out all the way while vacuuming, the cord gets insanely hot. It worked excellent on stubborn cat hair that gets embedded into the couch. It also has great suction on carpets and hard floors. Lots of people reviewed that the cord it too short...its actually not too bad. I can reach the next two rooms without having to unplug. Guess it depends on the house. The extension wand could probably be a little longer but its manageable. No real complaints yet.....stand by though, its only day 1.

We just purchased this Vacuum yesterday. We have dogs and in addition to pet hair they bring in sand from outside. We found the unit does a decent job pulling hair and sand, but I was concerned by how hot the cord became as I pulled it out of the cord storage area (the cord retracts on this unit). I feel over time this will impair the cord coating and cause it to crack or melt. For this reason the unit will be returned this week and why I rated "Features" as fair. For those of you that say "just pull the cord out all they way before you vacuum..." Well, I thought about that but there is still a portion of the cord remaining inside and will always be subjected to heat and that portion of the cord I will not be able to monitor for damage/deterioration. I also felt that some parts of this vacuum just feel cheap and like they will easily break over time. I know this part is picky and I understand why manufacturers (not just Hoover) do this...but it would be nice if a brush attachment was included in this "pet" version as the unit would be used for more than just pulling dog hair. But again, I was clear on what attachments were and were not included before I decided to purchase the unit and additional attachments are sold separately.

I just got this vacuum tonight, and vacuumed with it as soon as I got home. It was absolutely amazing what this vacuum picked up that my old one wasn't! Although I had a "pet" vacuum before, it was not picking up my cat's long hair. All it was doing was clumping it up and leaving it on the floor! This vacuum not only picked up those clumps, but got all the pet hair and dirt that I couldn't see! I filled the dirt canister with the first cleaning after all the buildup of what my old vacuum could not pick up. I recommend this product to anyone, but especially someone with pets that has trouble getting rid of the hair! Absolutely amazing product.

I would have given it a 5 star review but the attachment brush falls out all the time and the self-retracting cord doesn't always work.

I have mostly hard tile all over the house, I needed something that would pick up the little pieces of litter as well as the tumbleweed cat hair that clumps up everywhere. I love this vacuum! It has taken the place of sweeping and I love that. It also works great on the carpet. I used the pet attachment on the cat bed today and it works awesome! I have used other attachments in the past and I could not believe how well this worked! Great product!

This vacuum has me in stiches! The part that shows the green or red, green you are good, red you had better take care of me quick or I am going to put you in a 30 minute timeout and shut off. I have four dogs so each time it turns red sure enough I have dog hair in the hose, one time it shut off because I didn't pull the cord all the way out. so the cord was getting hot so I got a 30 minute time out. This vacuum is great so far! I don't think you could ever break this if you pay attention to it! picks up with ease!

I've owned this for just over a month it works great. It's very powerful so don't leave any cords or bed sheet or it will pick it right up. The pet turbo tool spins well due to the power so stairs, couches, & small areas you know will get picked up. The crevice tool has a zig-zag shape on the end so it works great for vents. The Allergy filter works great too. The cord length is more then enough & has a clip for it by the handle so it wont get in the way. The cord rewinds easy I never had to hit the button more then one time to get it back. The hose is the only slightly negative thing I would say they say 10' but its stiff & restrictive when your doing a celling you'll know what I mean. The canister has a bottom drop I love that because I've used other ones that don't & dust goes all over the place if you put a bag or double bag underneath that wont happen as much. Over all I'm very happy for the price. I was close to buying a Dyson but glad I got this for the value & for what it dose. I would also look at the WindTunnel 2 its very close spec wise if you want to save even a little more, but the 3 looks better then the 2. If how a vacuum looks means anything. I am very happy with the 3 & would recommend it to anyone.

Had the non-Pet version of this vacuum for about 3 years before it died on me. To be fair, the other one could have lasted longer had I not gotten curious about replacing the HEPA filter and then destroying it in the process. Anyhow, this PET version was on sale, so we took the plunge, and it's been GREAT! I honestly didn't know what I was missing, but this is far superior to our previous vacuum. We have a Spitz breed who has the normal sporadic shedding in addition to the twice yearly MASSIVE sheds of the undercoat/overcoat. This vacuum has picked up way more than our old one! I highly recommend it!

It's so heavy. I was expecting more of a light weight vacuum

Have been using it for over a year and has been working flawless, suction is high and doesn't leave a trace of any spill. The best part is because of the strong suction, no hair is stuck on the roller brushes. With my old vacuum I had to clean the roller brushes as they would be full of coiled hair after 2 - 3 uses , making the roller brushes ineffective. This one sucks them all into the bin making it easy to maintain. The bin is of good capacity, and I've had up to 3 full house cycles without having to empty the bin. Washing the bin and the filter is super easy too. I have recommended this to 4 other people and they have been very Happy with the purchase. Not sure why, but usually sells cheaper on eBay.

Does better than my $500 Miel picking up powder and dog hair. It was easy to set up, cleaned great, and is easy and clean to empty.

I saw the Windtunnel 2 on sale today for $99.99 and went to check it out. What I saw next to the Windtunnel 2 is the Windtunnel 3. It was $139.99, but was also on sale. I checked the specs and it was what I needed for my apartment since I have a dog. Once I got home, I vacuum my apartment and all the dog hair on my carpet are gone. I've even bought the 2 year extended warranty for $14.99 just in case my vacuum dies before 2 years.

Happy with my vacuum selection. I have a household with heavy foot traffic & large dogs with course fur. Absolutely picks up dirt & fur nicely. Bagless and automatic cord rewind a plus.

I purchased the vacuum a week ago and it did amazing against all the pet hair and dirt they track in. Amazing power and suction.

This Hoover works well. I do prefer the Bag models...now gone.
