Hoover has been around so long...they know the game and their product performs as good if not better than the rest....and no stupid gimmicks or parts. Just a good solid product that does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I have an apartment with a golden retriever and my kids come over regularly. The carpets see a lot of traffic and the vacuum with attachments on board take care of everything very well. The auto rewind cord and the brush roller off switch are very nice features. The vacuum seems well made and feels solid.

Today is 6/7/16 and already I have experienced the vaccum shutting off on me, as well as the push lever that flips open the bottom of the canister to empty dirt/ dust, etc. fell off and overall the product is not satisfactory! In addition, the Hoover warranty CSR dept. is not service-satisfaction oriented. I feel in cases such as this when a customer purchases their product and experiences issues within first 30-60 or 90 days HOOVER should honor patrons by either doing a loaner program when turning in for service repair, or HOOVER should allow the option to replace same product or upgrade, or full refund. I have always heard that Hoover has been around for a very long time, thus would make a patron feel secure with the impression that Hoover must be a great company to survive the industry for so long. Suffice to say I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A HOOVER AGAIN. I rate service and product model as BELOW ¨ZERO"on scale of 1-5. I am absolutely dissatisfied and with the service and product. Never again.

We have two dogs and this vacuum picks-up hair & dirt extremely well!!! There are settings for bare to high carpet floor and the pickup for all is great. Also the retracting cord is a nice option. We just went through two vacuums, one of which was a Dyson so I'm extremely happy

Doesn't necessarily work better or worse than the old one but is much lighter and looks cooler. Wife would like to have her old one repaired because the Kirby is self propelled and as for suction now she has seen that new doesn't always mean better.
