Customers are saying
Customers commend the keyboard, camera, ease of use, and size of the 11" Tablet. Many appreciate its portability and the quality of the display. However, some users find the RAM and battery life insufficient, while others note that the weight and limited storage are drawbacks. The single USB port is also a point of concern for some customers.

It didn't work out for me.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the idea of this tablet, and it worked well for what I needed it for when it worked; but out of the box, the touchscreen would stop working for random periods of time, and then start working again. I had a bluetooth mouse connected to it, so as long as I was at my desk I could still use it; but I couldn't use it for its intended purpose - a tablet. Maybe my experience is the exception, rather than the norm. I'm open to that; but not enough to replace it with the same thing. I ended up returning it and getting an android tablet. They've never let me down. The magnetic stand and keyboard were fantastic though. That stand was my favorite part of the tablet. It was far more practical than I ever would have imagined. The keyboard would snap in place easily, regardless of whether it was in portrait or landscape. The design on that part was amazing.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small but efficient. Only draw back was rep had me purchase a mouse with a USB port that doesn’t work with tablet. Advised by geek squad to purchase Bluetooth mouse keyboard combo so I have to go back to store to purchase proper mouse and keyboard

Nice Machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to use as a general use device. It's quite nice. Build quality is excellent, as is the display. I knew the keyboard is not backlit before I bought it, so that was known, but still irritating in actual use. Scrolling is not as smooth as I expected. Overall a nice machine, as long as it's on sale.

One of the best Windows tablets
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slick Windows tablet with keyboard. Decent performance and quality construction. I like the portrait or landscape orientation setup. Not a heavy duty performer but perfectly adequate for media and browsing using Edge. On sale way better value than Surface or iPads at 50% or less of their cost.

Stuttering performance, average battery
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Years ago I used a low-cost, low-powered 10" convertible laptop as a daily driver. It was only an Atom CPU with 2GB RAM, but it was just strong enough to run basic Windows 10 tasks without issue. Open a few webpages, check and compose email, stream movies, even play a few retro games. Being a detachable laptop, it had a keyboard and touchpad when I needed it, or could be a regular 10" tablet when that was more convenient. It was lightweight and easy to take with me, but was still so usable and handy to have that it became one of my favorite computers I've ever had, especially for under $300. I was hopeful the HP 11 Tablet would be a nice upgrade/replacement, but have been overall disappointed in it. The biggest problems are the mediocre battery life and are slow/laggy performance. Both of these are due to the display. A 2160x1440 display resolution sounds great at first, but higher resolutions require more system resources and battery power to run. The higher resolution requires a larger frame buffer, which is taken from the system RAM since the tablet doesn't have dedicated video memory. Even at an idle state and not running any applications, system RAM is already 75% utilized. Whenever you open applications that want more memory than is available, Windows has to swap memory to the system drive, which is quite slow, and thus you experience lots of lag. Even simple things like right-clicking to bring up a context menu can have multiple seconds of lag before anything comes up. The 3:2 display ratio is great for productivity use, but a lower 1920x1280 resolution would have been more than adequate. All is not horrible with the tablet. This particular SKU does come with a keyboard cover as well as the back cover kickstand. Both work quite well and the magnetic mounting makes them easily removed when you don't need them. It's also quite nice HP made the keyboard dockable in portrait mode, which is quite useful in some situations. Unfortunately the keyboard isn't backlit. And though the kickstand works great on a table or desk, it doesn't do as well on your lap or when lounging in bed. For these instances, a normal laptop keyboard and hinge is much better. The camera hinge is useful for video conferences, allowing camera's viewpoint to rotate to eliminate a lot of those "up-the-nose" shots that happen with so many laptop integrated cameras. Sadly, the camera quality isn't very good. Given the amount of space it has, I would expect it to be at least on par with some cheaper video drones, but that's not the case. It's certainly usable for basic video chatting, but not much beyond that. When folded back, it still stands quite proud of the rear surface, which makes me worry how easily it will be scratched and damaged. Also, the tablet only has one USB port, and it's a C type. The good news is that it fully supports power delivery and most current USB functions. It will work with many USB-C laptop docks, so keyboards, mice, wired networking, and more can be used. However it would've been nice to have at least one USB-A port so you could use a thumb drive or basic keyboard and mouse without needing a dock. Ultimately, comparisons to the Surface Go are inevitable. At current prices, the HP 11 costs more than a Surface Go with Type Cover. The Surface Go can also be configured with 8GB system RAM for about the same price as the HP 11. And for only a little more you can get a Surface Go with an i3 CPU, or even lower-end Surface Pro, which are much better products overall.

A nice table, if you want portable Windows
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really nice tablet with a few quirks. Some of the quirks are HP-related, some come with the Windows tablet experience regardless of the hardware. The setup and interface will be familiar, as the device ships with Windows 11. That means expect it to take some time, mostly automatic, to apply updates and security patches. There’s some bloatware, like McAfee and Spotify, but mostly these apps aren’t enabled at startup. Still, deleting them will free up room on the system, room you may want given the 128gb drive. The HP tablet is solidly built, feeling like a milled single piece of aluminum. Without the stand or keyboard, it weighs about the same as my 10.2” iPad. The stand is a creative design, attaching magnetically and able to hold the tablet at pretty much any angle in both portrait and landscape mode. It does add weight, however, and when you include the magnetically attached keyboard, you’re within ounces of the weight of a 13” HP Spectre X360. The smaller package gives it a density that can make it feel even heavier somehow. Because this is a Windows machine, you can use pretty much any Windows software on it. This is good if you’re looking for a really transportable Windows experience, not so good if you’re looking for a simpler interface. The quad-core 1.1gHz Pentium with 4GB of memory is fast enough for most uses, although it’s clearly not a gaming machine. With 128GB of storage, you may have to think about what you want to carry on the machine versus on a flash drive. As noted, the keyboard attaches magnetically and has connectors directly into the bottom of the tablet, so no slow or flaky Bluetooth connection to worry about. The keyboard is smaller than standard but easy to use, and the Chicklet keys are responsive. Note that, while the keyboard will easily flip behind the tablet for stowage, sometimes Windows will not bring up the virtual keyboard when it recognizes an attached keyboard, so you may (or may not) be able to use the tablet sans-keyboard unless you actually disconnect the keyboard. The camera is a creative design. Rather than being incorporated into the bezel, it faces the rear of the unit and can be used in this position or swiveled to the front as needed. There are two ways to do this, either with a switch located next to the camera, or if you want more finely tuned control, with the HP Camera app. In this app, you will also see the ability to store presets, allowing you to adjust positioning and zoom differently for each application. At 13.2 megapixels, you would expect it to be an outstanding camera, and it works well for video calls. But, it does fall short on snapshots, producing surprisingly grainy images. From time to time it also says the camera is obstructed and shuts down the app, even if the camera has a clear path. Of course, if you’re right handed and holding the tablet with your left hand, it’s also easy to actually obstruct its path. Note that the camera is not compatible with Windows Hello, so you will be signing in manually. Also, as with any portable device, it seems that a moving, motorized component could be prone to failure over time. Overall, if you want a tablet that keeps your Windows experience at hand, the HP is a solid, well-engineered machine.

What is with 4GB Memory in 2021/2?
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a lot to say about this tablet other than it could have used more memory. This unit came out in 2021 I believe, and it only had 4GB of memory? My Note20 Ultra has 12GB of memory! The unit lagged quite a bit, no doubt thanks mostly to only having 4GB of memory but also the low-end Pentium N6000 processor. Didn't we used to call those "N" processors Atoms? They're powerful enough for a Chromebook but not for a Windows laptop. I have a lower end N4500 in an Asus Chromebook with only 4GB and it runs circles around this unit trying to run Windows 11. Now for the good, the 2K display is excellent, very crisp and detailed. Brightness was higher than I could stand, and I had to turn it down a bit. It probably would have been a good laptop even in outdoor use if I was actually able to use it a bit longer before returning it. The fingerprint power button was nice although it felt a little cheap in quality, rattling around in the case opening. It worked pretty well, most times on the first authentication attempt at login. Unfortunately, I had to return the tablet. I apparently got a lemon. The keyboard would only work when using the tablet in portrait mode. I searched for a week for a resolution but couldn't find one. I assume it was just bad hardware. Other than the power button feel, the unit felt solid and well made.
