Customers are saying

Customers commend the keyboard, camera, ease of use, and size of the 11" Tablet. Many appreciate its portability and the quality of the display. However, some users find the RAM and battery life insufficient, while others note that the weight and limited storage are drawbacks. The single USB port is also a point of concern for some customers.

Just Ok Windows Tablet that is expensive

This is a premium tablet by HP. I like the included stand and detachable keyboard. The tablet is just ok on weight. Unboxing was easy and setup was smooth. This seems to work well if you have a Microsoft account and One Drive for storage. After I logged in everything else was setup. Video calling seemed like this would be a strong feature. I tried Skype and Teams and the quality was just ok. Especially indoors. The auto framing feature is inconsistent. They do include a app Glam Cam that lets you define the settings for each app (Zoom, Teams, Family Zoom, Table Top Sharing) In the end I did not find it as good as other competing devices out there for video calling. The optional Portrait video calling is nice. Other uses: I used this as a companion device to my laptop for checking email and video calls while working on my laptop. It worked ok. The issues are that its performance is very sluggish. Also the device runs warm in use so takes away the hand holding benefit. Really this device can handle one app at a time and any multitasking leads to waiting for it to think. This can be frustrating. I wish they put more ram and a better cpu in this for the price point. It really is just too weak to get anything done with it that you would use a Windows device for. There are less expensive tablets if all that was needed was a web browser and mobile apps. Battery life is about 5-7 hours of use. Pretty good for mixed use. Screen: The screen is very color accurate and bright. I am not sure about the low blue light but looking at the screen for extended periods does not hurt my eyes, so I guess it is working. Ports: There is just one USB C port for connecting to charger, dock, really any adapter. Expandability. There is a micro sd card slot so that is nice if you need more space. I would trade that for an additional USB C port. Keyboard attachment. It is secure and no bounce when typing. The keys are easy to find and have a decent amount of travel. I really with the keyboard was backlit so I could see at night since that is mostly when I use it. Security: I like the built in fingerprint reader which is generally accurate but would be better if it had the IR scanner for Windows Hello. In Summary this is great for School or as a companion device to an existing Windows solution, but it will disappoint if you want it to be your main device. I think the price is high for what your getting.

This tablet is a mixed bag. The display is great. The resolution is very good at 2160x1440. The battery is nothing special, but comes with a fast charger so it doesn’t take long to fill the tank. The S mode limits it to windows store downloads and the edge browser. It can be turned off but once it’s off, it’s off for good. The keyboard is good. Connects easily using magnets. The keyboard and touchpad are very responsive. Four GB of ram is just never enough ram any more with today’s technology. Most devices just need more. This tablet can do just about anything, just not all at once. If you’re looking for something to take with you that you can do a little at a time and you don’t need a lot of power, then this is your tablet. If you’re looking for a powerful tablet that can multitask like no one's business, then this isn’t it.

    Fn Lock Dilemma

Overall I like the tablet. I like it a lot! The only one and silly issue which is very important for me - ability to use F keys (top row of the keyboard - F1, F2, F3, F4). By default those act as Fn keys on this tablet - brightness up/down, volume up/down/mute etc. This behavior is usually can be changed in BIOS, however there is no such an option in the current F.08 BIOS. And there is no HP windows utility to change it either (like Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center). I spent 4 hours on the phone with HP support yesterday. I was transferred from one department to another several times. It looks like HP is not aware they manufacture this product (there are desktop, laptop, and commercial departments). It still shows up as "Coming Soon" on HP.com. Then they transferred my to "Smart Friend" Department where they offer me to pay and subscribe to technical support. To which I said No. Then I was transferred to Warranty department ,,, 4 hours ... and no solution... And then I received the email that my case was closed. Very disappointing... So Customer Support gets 0 stars. This issue is really the dealbreaker for me. If there is no firmware update fixing this issue within 15 days, I am planning to return this tablet.

HP 11" Tablet w/ keyboard is a very nice PC but an even better companion device you can have with you on the go. This tablet actually can enhance your PC productivity in many ways with one being able to turn it into a second screen in tandem with your main screen. The tablet also runs in Windows 11 S mode which can be disabled. The design of this thing is beautiful; the way it feels in the hand is extremely well made. HP did a nice job with contracting the tablet's durability. All the ports are here that you could want in a modern tablet in a sleek design. This tablet can be used in Horizontal or vertical positions giving you maximum screen space to your advantage. By the way, the resolution of the tablet is 2160x1440 which is a bright and vibrant screen that showcases Windows 11 perfectly. The screen is the best part of the tablet no less giving you decent color accuracy at the minimum. The next best thing about the tablet is the 13 mp camera that seems to be engineered great with the tablet. It pops out and rotated to the front for selfies there is also a button on the tablet itself allowing for you to take photos. USB-C with one slot for a micro SD card is all that’s here but USB-C allows for many accessories to be connected. The keyboard attaches easily to the bottom so setting up the tablet was easy, and getting into Windows 11 is easier. The keyboard works well, I haven’t had any significant issues with the keyboard and windows so it seems to be a solid choice compared to the Microsoft Surface. HP tablet is definitely better designed than past HP devices. The tablet comes with Windows 11 S. It’s an OS that’s very restrictive and secure but also maybe limited to certain things you can do such as installing 3rd party apps. This will be your challenge as you will need to find an app in the Microsoft store for your personal needs. You can however Take the tablet out of Windows 11 S mode and it was painless. The tablet is limited and I don’t recommend it for gaming, multiple downloads, or any power task (unless using a streaming gaming service.) but the tablet is powerful at running tasks that may not be super demanding on the go. Using it as an art tablet is perfect as it’s lightweight enough to hold in one hand like a sheet of paper and draw with the other, Holding it with you for video calls is wonderful, and walking with it in the landscape doesn’t feel unnatural. This is not a full desktop on the go but it’s a darn good companion to a PC/device you may already own. Sound quality is adequate enough to get loud and very loud on video calls. But taking photos in Portrait mode is a challenge because it’s still a tablet. You can use the built-in kickstand and this makes up by offsetting some of these challenges. Wifi I had no issues with staying connected and doing basic things. Charged the tablet twice in one day but after updates battery life has been better. Using it as 2nd screen can be useful alongside on other PCs; taking it to work for the extra screen real estate helped out in many ways. Since it’s an actual dedicated computer you can also edit as you take it wherever you go. I guess overall the tablet could use “more” features but as it stands it’s a windows 11 tablet. If you need something on the go and Chromebook isn’t doing it for your ecosystem of choice. This tablet is probably one of the better Windows PC tablets out there just has issues that can be ironed out. It does what it set out to do and nothing more. Does media great, does light productivity great, it’s just a little underwhelming beyond that but don’t expect it to be. I personally would have wanted more just a little power out of the Intel chipset to be able to run things better than a rotating mechanical camera. I don’t recommend this product if this is your first device into Windows but I do recommend it if you have a desktop or laptop and want a companion PC or if you just need lightweight tasks done and don’t want to lug around a heavy laptop. Just manage your expectations out of this device and you’ll be happy with your purchase. But if you try to push the device beyond anything it’s made for; you will have a sluggish and unsatisfying experience. Solid 4 out of 5 but I’m thinking future generations of this device will be better.
