I know it's the bottom tier price..but it's so BAD

Since my brother had a pretty good experience with a $400 Hp laptop before (he used it for 2.5 years), we bout this inexpensive laptop to serve our mom's email/YouTube needs. The problems with this laptop immediately arose when we were setting it up for her. The Windows 10 S system is flat-out weird, who asked for this? And why does it treat Google Chrome like a threat? Turning it off is very simple, so there's that. But the computer is extremely laggy...(probably because it is incapable of connecting to our 5G), it takes 3 seconds for a Youtube video to EXPAND. Typing documents and emailing are out of the question too, those programs lagged. The main issue with this hp laptop is the screen; it hurts your eyes. My mom's, my brother's and my eyes all experienced terrible straining just by looking at the screen. I don't think it's related to the blue lights, because I had installed the flux filter. Do not buy this if you need a laptop to type essays, play games, or watch long videos. I'm certain it will damage your eyes. I have used cheaper chrome books that worked more efficiently than this AMD laptop.
