Waste of $200

I wanted a basic laptop on which to install Linux and assumed an HP would be quality enough to make this possible. However, the BIOS on this is such garbage that only Windows is possible. Even after removing the HD and successfully installing Mint by using a different (better) computer, this thing still cannot boot it. It is ONLY usable with Windows, and should be advertised as such. In addition, the "all day power" claim is nonsense - the battery drains after about 1 hour of doing literally nothing with the laptop (e.g. while using a different laptop to research the problems with this one!). Don't waste your time and money unless you are desperate for a basic computer and are satisfied with Windows.

slow wifi connect

This led to the computer connect slowly to the wifi and it was frustrating. I returned it. it only connects to your network or hotspots on the most common Wi-Fi standards.

I took it to Geek Squad thinking it had malware or something. They blamed it on the processor. I do not recommend this laptop.

The laptop is slow which I knew when I purchased it however, it also uses an older and very slow wifi card.
