Good laptop for simple tasks.

A must is upgrade the memory. It does seem slow, hp could have put 8GB memory in here for the same price point. I purchased and installed an additional 8GB for a total of 12GB. Works much better with the additional memory but not a bad option for under 300$.

Downsides are the screen resolution and screen brightness. Text appears very large and programs on screen look cramped. Not a very large hard drive but a cheap external will do. Also not a lot of Ram, really should have at least 8gig. Good thing, it is upgradeable.

DOES THE JOB

I started school and was in need of a laptop due to my iPad with a keyboard not being compatible with online programs. I did not want to spend 800 dollars for a laptop I will only use for school. Now I’m working remotely from home and it works well with the programs installed.
