I had high hopes for this laptop because of the sleek design and affordable price, but unfortunately, it’s been a huge disappointment. From the moment I turned it on, it was incredibly slow—just booting up takes several minutes, and opening even basic apps like Chrome or Word feels like a chore. The Intel Celeron processor and 4GB RAM just aren’t enough for today’s basic computing needs. Even simple web browsing causes it to freeze or lag. With only 64GB of eMMC storage, Windows takes up most of the space right out of the box, leaving almost nothing for files or programs. Installing any updates pushes it to its limits. The laptop also gets noticeably warm and noisy during extended use, and battery life is mediocre at best. It feels outdated before you even start using it. I can't recommend this device for students, professionals, or even casual users. Bottom line: Spend a little more and get something actually functional. This laptop is underpowered and frustratingly slow. It’s just not worth the savings.

Computer was bought for the Wife to use for online classes. Small enough to give her extra room on her desk and does what she needs it to do for classes.

The HP 14” Intel Celeron 4GB laptop strikes a balance between affordability and functionality, making it a suitable choice for everyday computing tasks. Powered by an Intel Celeron processor and 4GB of RAM, this laptop delivers adequate performance for web browsing and light multitasking. While it may struggle with demanding applications or intensive multitasking, it handles everyday tasks smoothly. With its sleek and lightweight design, the HP 14” laptop is portable and easy to carry around. The 14-inch display offers decent viewing angles and clarity, although it may not be the brightest or most vibrant panel on the market. Equipped with essential ports including USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, and an SD card reader, this laptop offers decent connectivity options for external devices and peripherals. However, it lacks modern features such as Thunderbolt support. The battery life of the HP 14” laptop is respectable, offering enough juice to last through a typical workday with moderate usage. However, heavy multitasking or multimedia consumption may drain the battery more quickly. Overall, the HP 14” Intel Celeron 4GB laptop offers good value for budget-conscious consumers seeking a reliable and functional computing device for everyday use. While it may not boast high-end specs or premium features, it fulfills its intended purpose admirably.

Best value for basic browsing or Citrix Workspace

This laptop is perfect for all the minimal tasks you can think of. I'm talking web browsing, video watching, and article reading. It also works surprisingly well with Citrix workspace. It connects to my VM and let's me work from anywhere. This little $200 laptop runs Windows 11 (honestly it runs better than it should), uses very little power, and does exactly what I bought it for. It's lighter than most laptops too. Note: Do not buy for any kind of gaming or running anything beyond a word processor. Sure it might be able to run 2D games, but you'll just disappoint someone trying to play games on it. The screen is bright, but the viewing angle is really shallow. Not for multitasking. If you plan on running multiple things, I would upgrade the RAM to 8GB. It's a simple process and only costs about $17. It can be a little sluggish at times, but it runs much better than the value laptops of the past. This laptop has the same exact specs as most $300 laptops, and it's $100 cheaper.

I bought this laptop as an open-box purchase in excellent condition, and the first day that I used it, it ran extremely slow, not from an Internet connection problem. The next time I used it, everything kept ‘Not Responding’ and I had to shut it down, and by the time I got it to turn back on, the battery was dying. I charged it overnight, and the light was at full charge when I removed it to open it up, and the laptop wouldn’t even turn on, no matter how I pressed the button. I’m not sure if it’s just due to it being an open-box laptop despite it still being ‘brand new,’ or if that’s just how it runs even if you buy it fully brand new. Aside from that, the keys stick up more than most laptops and you have to have a very heavy press to your typing, otherwise you have to go back and fix errors from some of the letters not being typed. It’s a nice looking laptop, and I love the all white design, but not the quality that I would expect from HP. Also, there was no protection to the laptop or charger in the box for shipping. As far as Best Buy customer service, they’re great. They had no problem with me requesting to return it for a full refund, and even when I told them I had already thrown the box away they said I could repackage it in any box, and made it easy to send it back.

I love this little computer. It's exactly what I need for working in the living room while I watch a movie or for traveling. So lightweight. I've had it for almost 9 months, and it still has fast processing. There's enough storage for my word processor files and pictures. I wouldn't make it my main computer because of limited storage, but it's enough for my purposes. The CAPS key is getting sticky now, but that's not a big deal. I can bring it to Best Buy if I need it looked at. The tech support squad helped me to set up the computer with Microsoft 365 when I bought it.

Cheap, easy to use and long lasting. I broke my old laptop a couple of years ago and needed a new one for work, the plan was to get a cheap one in emergency and replace it later. A couple years later and I still haven’t brought a new one.

Reliable laptop for every day use

This HP 14" laptop is a great choice for those who need a reliable, efficient daily driver for their computing needs. The Intel Celeron processor provides enough power for basic tasks like web browsing, checking emails, and basic document editing. It might not be the best pick for heavy multi-tasking or running resource-intensive software, but it's perfect for everyday use. The laptop comes with 4GB Memory, which complements the processor well, allowing for smooth operation of most basic tasks. However, if you're planning to run multiple applications simultaneously, you may find it slightly limiting. One of the standout features of this laptop is its 64GB eMMC storage. While it's not large, it makes the laptop boot up and load applications quickly. It's a solid state type storage, so it's more reliable and efficient than a traditional hard drive. If your storage needs are larger, you may want to consider using cloud storage or an external hard drive. The laptop features a 14-inch screen, providing a good balance between portability and usability. It's large enough for comfortable viewing, yet the laptop remains compact and easy to carry around. The Snowflake White color gives the laptop a sleek, modern look. It's a unique and stylish alternative to the traditional black or silver laptops. Overall, this HP 14" laptop is a solid choice for users looking for a basic, reliable, and stylish device for everyday computing needs. Please note that it might not be suitable for you if your tasks involve heavy software, gaming or require large storage.

My MacBook I had for 10 years broke unexpectedly and I needed an affordable and quick same day pick up option because I use my computer everyday for work, this does the job ok. It is slow at times but it was worth the price! I just have to get used to it cause I am use to apple products but I would recommend buy this product esp for a student! It just doesn’t have a lot of space or storage but it’s a great computer!

So for a long time I had an budget Asus 11-in laptop running Windows 10. I have sort of an unique usage for a laptop, I use it to stream music into my Hi-Fi system. The laptop doesn't need to be super powerful or anything to do so and the ASUS fit the bill quite well. Couple of weeks ago my trusty ASUS bit the dust when water got spilled on it so decided to get a new laptop. One of the few budget options out there seems to be the HP which is actually a little better than the ASUS in terms of speed. The one thing I would advise is as soon as you boot up the HP immediately and I mean immediately delete all the bloatware associated with Hewlett-Packard and even some of the unnecessary Microsoft software which seemingly comes pre-installed however is absolutely unnecessary, even for somebody who is buying the laptop for taking school notes or surfing the web or whatever, all of this pre-installed software is unnecessary and honestly just slows it down particularly the HP software. Also helpful to note that switching it out of s mode does help to speed it up, I know Microsoft likes to say that s mode is more streamlined and ultimately better performing for low power laptops but trust me for some reason taking it out of s mode speeds it up. So four stars out of five, works pretty good for my case and does a fairly decent job even a little bit better than my older ASUS.

No complaints. I knew what I was getting when I bought it so I tempered my expectations. Just really needed a machine to browse with, use for email and run simple apps on. It does the trick well. Noticed the processor is a bit slower when compared to my other machines but happily surprised with it overall. I assume it could do more if I asked it to. Feels a bit plasticky but a good by for the price IMO. Giving it 4 stars (not 5) only because it’s really a basic, introductory type of laptop.

Purchase an open box item. It was super fast and set up easily. Please note that you *do not* get the free year of Microsoft 365 with open box. A few days after owning it the screen would flash black. Exchanged it for a brand new one- horrible. It’s so slow and freezes no stop. I can’t even get Gmail to open without it freezing. It would suit my needs just fine if it actually worked.

I work from home 1-2 days per week and use this notebook to remote into my office computer. It's perfectly sufficient for that purpose, and after four months I have no regrets. This machine isn't a workhorse; I didn't expect it to be. But if you're looking for a cheap, lightweight laptop to handle simple tasks (like word processing or remoting in to your office network), you will be happy with this little guy.
