This is the worst laptop I have ever used. So many issues from day 1. I didn't need the laptop right away, and by the time I got it up and running I was past the return period. I have long trusted HP laptops, but this was such a waste of money. The most frequent issue is the speed of use (internet is extremely slow, applications are extremely slow to open) and applications shutting down while using. Also issues with connectivity. I can't say enough how much I dislike this laptop. I will no longer be purchasing HP products.

This is average computers to use it for basic work.

Definitely not to be recommended that computer system

So I have not purchased a computer for almost a decade. I now am in need of one for a new business startup. I purchased what would I thought was a deal- HP 14 brand new, open box special. Special? Indeed. Since when do you purchase a computer and have a completely blank slate, only program on it was that horrid windows 10. Took me nights and nights to attempt to set up. Returned it, no one could answer my questions and in order to receive help, you got to shell out more $$ to that geek squad which is useless, since they google your questions. In the end, I remain an unhappy customer and WILL not be returning to Best Buy ever again. Thanks for two weeks of stress and headaches.

U can only download and install apps made for this platform. Total poop show. I use it mainly for internet access. iTunes is buggy as hell, no youtube, words without friends,

Complaints include slow on streaming, uploading movies, You Tube videos. We do not have internet issues. Probably best suited for small business and not educational purposes.

I bought this laptop for my kid 9 months ago. Now the clickpad stopped working and HP refused to repair it even it is still under warranty. HP said it is accidental damage. Should not we click the clickpad, then no accidental damage, should we? I should listen to my friend, stay away from HP.

It was slow, and had to return it. On the positive side, it was light and looked nice.

Ill be honest, when I saw this laptop online, I was skeptical, especially with the lower specs. I wanted something thin and light, but big enough to enjoy. I debated on a chrome book, but couldn't find one I really liked, and windows still has a hold on me. Enter this guy. I sadly didn't pull the trigger on labor day when it was on sale, only 199.... but still managed to grab it for an okay 249. For a brand new laptop, thats a reasonable price. This guy does great for all the basic tasks, reading, watching youtube videos, talking to friends, web browsing, I even managed to get some very very light video editing out of it. A 14 inch screen is perfect, as I found 11.6 inches a bit too small and a 15.6 inch- to 17 inch display way too big. The keyboard feels great to type on, and the build quality of the laptop is pretty good too. The bezels are thinner than I expected, which normally is what you lose out on with cheaper machines. A really good review of it was what made me decide on it in the first place, and they were right. The battery life is pretty good, and its so nice to just grab and go, its not clunky or heavy by any means. The speakers are pretty loud and sound good too. All in all, for about 250-260, you cant go wrong. This is a great little laptop for a small price that doesn't sacrifice performance. Its not an I7 by any means, but using a lower RAM consuming browser like edge makes it very usable. Ram and the SSD are both upgradable, which is very very sweet. Out of the box with no tweaks, it works wonderfully as well. I fell in love with this little guy, and plan to use it constantly for as long of a life as it will give me. If youre hesitant to pull the trigger, do it. Youll be happy you did. Nice job HP!

Within six months the device would not turn on and was no longer covered under the warranty. Complete trash. If you want a computer to last 5-10 years buy an Apple product. I have had a few Apple computers perform at a high level for 5+ years.

Purchased on sept 3 and two weeks later the screen had a black line on it was not drop.. sent off for repair and was going to charge 175.00 to fix will never purchase an HP again

The motherboard completely failed exactly one year after purchasing. Laptop was barely used, but still had issues. Definitely a mistake to trust HP again as this is the second laptop that failed. Never again.

The laptop not working properly. The touch pad not working. The laptop is slow.

Performed WAY slower than advertised. Became unresponsive just opening a web page. Returned the next day.

Bought for my daughter for school. Looses files. Saves in incorrect format and slow. Pile of crap.
