Q: It was answered before that this can have more RAM installed. How much more RAM? Is there a pre soldered 4GB already installed? What is the total amount of RAM that will operate on this device? What is the spec for an additional card?

A: The HP tech that answered this question is incorrect on both statements. I opened my laptop and there were TWO slots, one occupied with a 4GB samsung module DDR4-2400. I installed an additional 8GB module in the second bay and I'm showing 12GB in windows and it's working perfectly.

Q: Can memory be added to this laptop?

A: I installed an additional 8GB module in the empty RAM slot and am now running 12GB. Get DDR4-2400 SODIMM -- that's the type.

Q: Can I upgrade the SSD storage to a 500GB or 1TB SSD SATA drive?

A: Of course you can. It has a standard high-speed M.2 SSD slot which can support whatever size you choose to install.

Q: Can I download Google Chrome?

A: I just bought this HP laptop yesterday (9/1/2019) and I was able to switch out of S mode and install Chrome. The steps to switch out are not very intuitive. I ended up watching a YouTube video to get help. In this link, go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4020089/windows-10-in-s-mode-faq, and follow the instructions under "How do I switch out of S mode?"

Q: I own office 2003. With an external drive can I load office 03 on to this laptop?

A: I loaded Office 2007 (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) onto this computer (using an external CD/DVD player which is Windows 10 compatible). Office 2007 works under Windows 10. You need to check to see if your Office 2003 is compatible with Windows 10. If so, you do need to do first make the free change from Windows 10 S to Windows 10 Home. Easy & quick to do this (the procedure is widely posted)!

Q: HP Team keeps informing us there is only one memory slot on this model, but there are two memory slots and many folks have added 8GB of RAM in the second and open slot. Apparently the wrong model is being addressed by someone. Please advise.
