The HP tech that answered this question is incorrect on both statements. I opened my laptop and there were TWO slots, one occupied with a 4GB samsung module DDR4-2400. I installed an additional 8GB module in the second bay and I'm showing 12GB in windows and it's working perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The RAM modules are not soldered to the system board. The modules are easily upgradable. I'm currently running 16gb in this model
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This laptop only has 1 RAM (memory) slot. It can be upgraded to 8 gigabytes of RAM. This is what is currently on the laptop. 4 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM.
