Great for multitasking, everyday productivity, streaming, and even light content creation (video/photo editing, coding, etc.)

Its our first lap top and didnt want to spend a lot. Its a little difficult to open for its design and acts a little funny sometimes, such as long delays once unlocked, but its alright and does the job for a cheaper lap top. I keep it plugged in often enougg havent ran into battery dying on me. If you can spend more on a lap top, im sure it is worth it to. I do like that it has a larger screen.

I am VERY happy with my purchase. I especially love the 17" screen. The laptop's response is very fast. It has all the bells and whistles I was looking for in a new laptop. I can definitely recommend it. You won't be disappointed!

Buyer beware! I loved Best Buy until today. I guess sales have been hurting so bad the now the employees are performing “bait and switch” on customers. Sad that the company now has to steal from customers to try to survive.
They started I can return my trade-in at the store and the store would help me with the data transfer from the old pc to the new. The store manager said it’s 100 dollars and he doesn’t care what I was told even I had it in writing. He also stated I can bring my trade to the store. On to of the the trade I stated I was trading in came up different in the invoice and when I brought it up I was told don’t worry about it, it doesn’t matter.
I only made the purchase due to these false promises from the sales associate.

I tend to resist and resent being forced to upgrade operating systems every few years. I still have old computers that operate smoothly and reliably on Windows 98 !! But I have been surprisingly pleased by this more modern laptop computer which is so handy and convenient to use. I love the large, bright, and clear 17.3" display (for my aging eyes). And who could resist a bargain like this one, offered by Best Buy? ,,, with FREE SHIPPING to boot. I actually bought a second one when Best Buy offered this sale again. Ryzen is perfectly adequate for my purposes. I'm not a gamer. And the solid state drive (SSD) is great for speed and reliability of storage. There are two Type A USB connectors and one Type C, the latter of which I'm not likely to use but who can predict the future?: Type C USB seems to be the way most things are going for speed and I don't have to check every time I plug something in to see which way the plug should go. Most of all, I like the 17.3" display, Despite the large screen, this computer is relatively light and easy to transport in any case that is big enough to accommodate the larger screen size. For self-contained speakers, they are as good or better than any other laptop computer that I have heard. One can't expect "audiophile" sound from any laptop computer. It is stereo. If you are accustomed to listening to music on your cell phone, this laptop will outperform the sound on any cell phone. There is a headphone output which will provide higher quality sound than the built-in speakers, though I have never had the occasion to use this feature myself. This HP responds well when I run any and all my computer programs (as I said, I'm not a gamer) and speed is more than adequate. But I must confess that I've never cared for touchpads. I always connect a wireless mouse and there are more than adequate resources for me to be able to do this. My Windows 10 computers are still functioning perfectly well, but it was definitely a step up to Windows 11 and the two operating systems are similar enough for me to be able to adapt quickly and relatively easily. Copilot is a feature that I have, as of yet, not availed myself ... but it is my hope AI will definitely open new horizons for me. Overall the performance is great for my modest demands and who could resist the attractive sale price and free shipping. This is a definite two thumbs up for me!

This is the first laptop computer I have ever purchased. I Have purchased several HP desktop computers in the past. I am very pleased with the large 17.3-inch screen. Very clear display with vibrant colors. Setting up the computer was easy. I felt the price at $349.99 on sale was very fair. I use the computer mainly for web surfing and paying bills. Would have no problem recommending this computer to friends and family.

Great screen size which was my main objective with a decent level of performance. I added a 32GB card to the single empty available memory slot for a total 40GB memory - which improves overall performance. I replaced an older HP Win7 laptop that the battery had died with only 8GB ram, and buying this open box saved about 50% off retail. Just a day after I received this laptop, the price went down another $60 but Best Buy would not make a price adjustment and said I had to return it and then buy a DIFFERENT laptop (could not be the same unit that I already bought)! Stupid senseless 'rule' they have, not happy about that at all. Also after digging deeper I discovered it does not come with the manufacturer's warranty, but rather a 90 day BestBuy warranty. This was not stated in any of the descriptions of the product and I had to make multiple contacts to get to the bottom of that. The computer itself will meet my needs so long as it continues to work. "Open Box", to me, means it was returned as new and should have minimal use. I found out upon registering it at HP that it had been registered 7 months earlier by another user, so beware of open box items. I paid for an 'excellent condition' laptop (as opposed to the other grades offered), so I expected it would be used minimally.

I like most things about it so far. Still getting used to it. Screen size is great as well as the picture quality. All programs run smoothly. I use it mostly for school (online college) so I have multiple pagers up at once and toggling back and forth between them all with no issues. speed is great. The only thing that I find frustrating at times is the touchpad double, right, and left click. I'm sure that is just a user error thing on my part. Overall, it's a great laptop. Would recommend purchasing.

Excellent build quality, this HP 17" Laptop is amazing. EXCEPT for ONE THING - the stock OS Win 11 in S mode is a ______ .. if you are an IT person at Heart - download a clean copy of Win 11 ISO from MS Official - download -use Rufus to force the install wizard to create a local account - you create the password later - the clean install will idle at 4.3 GB of ram while idling - making this lappy very useful ...the stock OS inst will suck up 7.3Gb - this machine only has 8GB - the AMD Chipset is rocket fast - very responsive - the 17" monitor is joy to use !
