Thanks so much for your continued support of HP. I sure can understand how frustrating it is to have a slow computer, especially when it's new. We do have some info to share about this, so here it is, below.
This laptop will go through a series of updates once it has been powered on for the first time out-of-box. These updates can take up to one hour to complete and attempting to use programs or running tasks while the system is updating may result in slow or poor performance as key resources are being utilized to support the updates that may not be visible to users. Once the device has completed the update / optimization process, the system’s resources should return to full utilization and you may begin to access your device as designed.
