Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely loved my laptop it's large and lightweight the charge held for at least a solid to three hours depending on what I was doing if I was just doing a class work it would last long but videos definitely take up more battery the memory on it was phenomenal I never had any issues until I dropped it now I can't get it to reboot I'm so heartbroken looking to buy the same laptop

Took 4 mins just to BOOT up. Glad I'm within the 14 days, Best Buy is taking the mess back. SKIP BUYING THIS LAPTOP. Got it for my mom, but she would punish me for giving her this SLOW MESS.... DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!! Mad that I loaded the anti-virus on the thing... But, oh well!!

80% updates, pushware, 20% user time.

Hours each of the three days of blue circle, forced updates, "cleaning up" and "getting it ready for you". When it finally does let her in, it won't let her work or even browse. Unending series of pop windows forcing themselves in front and pushing crapware. Overall performance is far inferior to the ancient 10 year old desktop we got this to replace. So far 80% of her time fighting popups, questions, updates, and maybe 20% getting to use the computer she paid $569 for. I realize the behavior is Windows and not HP or Best Buy, but HP and Best Buy sell the package and it is a bad package.

Also Unable to connect my current printer, which works perfectly with my work laptop and an older desktop. Even with high-speed wifi, it takes forever for websites to load and i'm totally shocked that this doesn't have a network cable jack. Had it for a week and have wasted too much time trying to accomplish basic tasks. I've bought HP in the past and this is the first time I've regretted it. Looking into whether I can return this pile of garbage.

Its a 8gb RAM pc so it shouldnt be doing this. It also produce an continuous uncomfortable grinding sound from the processor. For a $600+ computer that is unacceptable. Buy a different laptop.

I bought to of these laptops, one for me and the other for my mom, they are less than a year old and I'm constantly having issues with storage although it's supposed to be 1TB and I barely have any programs on the computer and the computer is literally coming apart at the hinges from simply closing and opening the laptop. It makes no sense and all and I know I will never buy another HP laptop again. There has been a severe decline in the quality of their laptops and I'm done wasting my money.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a disappointing experience thus far. I can imagine how frustrating it must be to feel like your computer is moving slower than you'd like. Although it is unusual to experience any issues right out of the box, I wanted to provide some insight into what is going on, as well as the remedy to the problem.
This laptop will go through a series of updates once it has been powered on for the first time out-of-box. These updates can take up to one hour to complete and attempting to use programs or running tasks while the system is updating may result in slow or poor performance as key resources are being utilized to support the updates that may not be visible to users. Once the device has completed the update / optimization process, the system’s resources should return to full utilization and you may begin to access your device as designed.
