Easy to use definitely recommend. Love the big screen

I purchased this laptop as a Christmas gift so we have not used it yet. This laptop has a 256 gb solid state drive and optical drive. I have my house wired for ethernet and some of the other laptops did not have the ethernet port. Looking forward to giving this to my wife on Christmas. Getting it for $399 made it worth it.

Love the sleek, lightweight design. Easy to use/navigate. I can play my Facebook games for hours, pay bills, and surf the net, with no problem. Sound is clear and goes up quite loud. Like the fact it has a CD drive I can use to pop in movies on the go, and create CD's of my own to listen to. Very happy with my purchase.

This laptop is lightweight and has a good sized screen

The startup was easy but the only downside is that it is a Windows computer and it was very involved to bypass Microsoft stuff to be able to download the browser required for my school which is Chrome. Even now the email app likes to freeze when trying to delete more than 1 email at a time. Love the size and that it is lightweight.

For the cost it gives a large screen and easy to use

Love my new computer - however, I was uncertain about Windows 10 as I had heard so many bad things about it. At first, it took me some time to learn the ins and outs of the system, but now I am getting better at using it and finding new "stuff" every day.

I had to replace my old laptop that I use mainly for my homeschool needs. I love that this came with a CD ROM built in so that I can access student worksheets on my teachers editions CD ROM Disks. I also thought it was going to be heavy but it is not. I mainly use this for my homeschool.

Excellent computer nice and big screen easy to use

I intentionally picked a large screen, glad I did. The resolution on the screen is fine. I have a large 256G memory, which I intend to use. I installed a wireless mouse that just screams. I also installed a USB port driven speakers--work great. I store lots of photos and personal information in files on this laptop.

easy to use, don't like the on and off switch as you don't always get it turned on with first touch, wish the button had a light by it, Key board is off set to the left and often don't hit the right keys as use to the key board centered

Stopped in to check if my old laptop could be fixed. After determining the cost to fix was slightly less than a new laptop, I decided to purchase this new HP laptop. I signed up for the Geek Squad annual tech service & saved the transfer of old info to my new laptop purchased. Great decision. A few days later it was ready. Best Buy & Geek Squad have earned my business forever. Keep up the great service.

I had an earlier version of this laptop and the casing was of far better and robust. The casing on this one is thin, flimsy and of poor quality. I dropped the first one on the concrete sidewalk and the casing did not break and it lasted 5 years. I was lucky if my laptop lasted for more than a year and a half. This laptop's casing cracked near the onboard mouse simply from regular, but hardy use. I would try to get a laptop with a thicker casing. It may weigh more but it will be worth it. The problem is, it is hard to find laptops with the wide 17 inch screen. In fact, when I bought this laptop, it was the only wide-screen laptop on display for sale. HP is my favorite computer and printer brand.

I purchased this laptop because I wanted a large screen. I use it mostly at home, paired with a monitor and separate keyboard. Yes, it's big to lug around when I want to work on the go, but it's not so big that I won't bring it. Have no complaints at all, and I'd buy the same one again.

We bought this for my grandmother for Christmas. Love the big screen for her so we can magnify the screen and it doesn’t look odd. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about is the keyboard seemed a little off center with the number pad on the right. But that is just the nature of having a number pad on there.

once we got rid of "s mode" (which the geeks did for me) I was able to download the software I use to fix cars. It has been working great. One star off for "s mode"

Seriously the best laptop I have ever owned. I purchased this one after dropping my other laptop because it was so bulky and awkward. I am actually so happy it was ruined because now I have this gem. Great value and is perfect for my needs.

Love the deal I got on my HP Laptop on Black Friday! It has the bigger screen and 8GB of memory. Perfect for what I need out of a laptop. Was very happy with the customer service rep at the store that helped me. He was very attentive and I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes.

Thid laptop is fast. It comes up fast, It loads pages from the internet fast. All the features work great. It probably would be great as a office computer. It has Windows 10 and it works great. I use Mcaffee security software on it. This machine doesn't slow down.
