A: YES!!! It does have Windows 10 in S mode! I hated it! It would only run a very limited number of Microsoft approved programs... the good news is, it is easy to disable!
Q: Can I add additional 8gig to this laptop?
A: This model does support an additional 8GB of RAM.

Q: Is it possible that the drive can be upgraded from a 256GB to a 500GB or 1TB if I choose to do so.
A: Yes, but if you want to transfer the OS and data to the new SSD, you'll need a USB 3 to M.2 NVME adapter for the transfer. You might want to have the Geek Squad do it for you. The alternative is to backup your data, install the new SSD and then install the OS, your software, and data on it. There are a number of software drivers needed that make this route harder for a laptop than for a desktop.
