Great HP for the price. I like the numeric keypad on the side. Keyboard doesn't light up. I didn't need that feature. It's a very good personal home PC. This replaced my other HP laptop that I had for 5 years. Always had HP PC for home use.

On occasion this computer will apparently crash. However, it appears there is a program on it that takes a dump and sends it somewhere. Haven't heard anything back but the crashes have reduced so I assume some fix may have been dropped.

This is my 3rd HP laptop and I've come to trust HP's quality. I've had no problems since I started using my computer. I made a mistake though, completely my fault that I didn't notice this model did not have a touch screen. Next time, I guess.

I purchased this as a gift for a college student. I see them use it daily and it provides more than they need. HP always make great products. No issues, battery life is 3-4 hours of consistent usage and 44-48 hours of standby.

Still trying to learn how to use it. Wish I had a manual to consult. Hated it at first. Windows 7 is definitely better and easier to use. Have had difficulty accessing some of my accounts. May have to add another browser like Firefox.

This laptop is working really well for 85 year old retiree who needs all the basics but also wanted the CD/DVD player that is built in. He also enjoys the larger screen and keyboard.

I didn't do my research because I didn't realize that it wasn't REALLY an HD display and with the large screen you can really see the difference between resolution. I have the same computer with a smaller screen and I couldn't even tell that it's also not 1080p. Everything else was nice about the computer tho

Nice vut a screw came out of the back and didn't let it shut right. Took it to best buy and was told 80 to fix 50 to ship out. Crazy!!

I needed a good long lasting computer and I went into the store, the sales person showed me this one and I bought this one. Not to many extras to confuse me to try and figure out.

Technically works just fine for school work and basic stuff. The case is gabage. The unit was never dropped or bumped, but the screw's cylinder where they screw tot hold the bottom and top bezil broke and made it impossible to close. After a little under 2 years (by ten days) one would expect an HP product to last longer. I may fix it and just replace it with another brand. Dont think i can go back to HP after this experience.

I haven't had it very long, but, so far so good. I just wish the exterior surface didn't show fingerprints. Also, the Windows comes with the S Mode feature, and the Geek Squad recommended to have that removed. I'm glad I did agree to that.

I'm happy with my laptop there's so many extra things and programs that I could use not just on my homework but I'm doing emails for work and sending out the messages to my other friends it handles were very good

Good machine; don to like the fact that new computers do not come with pre-loaded software any more. Now you have to buy it all. Just another additional cost I wasn’t expecting.

Very happy with the processing speed and the storage of the 256GB SSD. I like the 17" monitor on the laptop as well. My only concern is the disc drive door doesn't always open. Opens easier when using eject function from media player.

I like this computer because it is faster than my i3 computer. I need this one for work. The only downside is when the brightness is at 50% it is really dim compared to my i3 computer.

Love my upgrade! First new laptop for myself in 11 years. This one with Windows 10 is definitely a learning process but I’ll get there. If this one serves as well as my previous HP Pavilion I will be happy, happy, happy!

Love this laptop for ease of home use and the fact it still has a DVD player inside for movies and CDs the old fashioned way since some of us don’t stream our music and movies.

I have had a wonderful time learning the new features of my lap top. I also feel that due to my new laptop i have been able to succeed in my college course both on campus and online.

My nephew received this laptop as a gift before he started his first year of college classes this fall. He says that it does everything he needs and then some. He packs it in his backpack with his charger, and he is ready to go!
