Set up is difficult and therefore, incomplete. Geek Squad as always is as helpful as possible. But a hands on appointment is necessary; not possible during current unavailability of store services. Once issues are resolved, likely will recommend, as usual HP quality, value, and ease of use will not disappoint. Hoping for curbside drop off for in-store Geek Squad eval.

Just what I was looking for. Perfect. Easy to understand and operate. Not very computer literate. But I got it.

bought two of these. one was used by older relative who simply plays solitaire on it - no web/internet navigation or anything else. The other is used more frequently for managing data. Both laptops failed virtually 3 mos out - to the point all restore operations failed, windows 10 was able to be reinstalled on one device but the (solitaire only) SSD completely failed. Never had a quality laptop fail w/i 3 mos of use. Never. First SSD laptops owned and will be last knowing now that there is a 61$% failure rate acknowledged by the folks who repair laptops (i.e. not the people who provide by selling them). Also, HP mfrs these laptops without adequate user controls - such as, the touchpad mouse settings may not be disabled nor uninstalled (find the Elan touchpad driver from a competitor laptop driver source to download it and deactivate). There are multiple other challenges with this laptop coupled with the new Win10 platform that make it likely my next product will be an Apple just to ensure I get quality.

I was expecting that a new laptop would have up to date wireless capabilities. This device does not have the capability to connect to 5G wireless, which is the wave of the current times and near future.
