love everything about the HP 17.3 Laptop for its speed and large screen

This is a good basic computer. It allows me to do everything I need to do: email, word, research and browse the internet. Pros: Larger screen (17.3") with larger letters and numbers on keyboard and has optical drive which is getting more difficult to find. Despite its size, this HP is quite portable. Cons; It would be nice if it had a lighted keyboard.

This laptop has everything I need. It’s Fast, efficient and affordable.

Needed to have the Geek Squad help at least 5 times due to the difficultly downloading apps and files. First big problem started immediately due to the safety feature that had to be removed. Then apps would not down load. Files would not open saying the app was not there. Overall spent 6 hours on line with Geek Squad not counting the several hours for them to come on line. Not really happy.

Easy to use and screen is bigger than I had before. Very happy with it.

Outstanding laptop for price, quality, keyboard, screen, and HP support

Nice big screen. Starts up really fast, in a second or so, probably thanks to the SSD. Other programs and apps start up fast also. Have not done any heavy gaming or so, so I don't know how that would be, but otherwise very good buy for about $500. 250GB HD is not so much so downloading lots of videos would fill it up fast. For us excellent choice.

Great price for memory and with a core i5. 17.5 screen is a great start.

This is a a great machine. It will even run a bit of CAD . Not huge files but some. As far as a normal work or office laptop or even homework, it has a Decent enough processor to handle it. It isn’t too terrible heavy. If you’re going to be using it a lot while Moving around get a good case it seems A little ill protected.

Just received it, so I haven't had much use of it yet. That said, set-up was a breeze and I've had no issues getting started right out of the box. I needed to replace my HP Pavillion dv6 and this one has the same features, including internal dvd drive, that I enjoyed previously. It feels a little cheaper, but still quite substantial for the price.

We needed a laptop for at home office use, and the HP with the i5 processor, 8 GB of memory, and the 256GB SSD works perfectly for us. The 17.3" screen provides enough workspace for documents and spreadsheets, and if you need more real estate, it easily connects to an external monitor. Highly recommend the HP for your at home office needs!

It's a great laptop for a good price. I love the size of the screen.

I really like the quick boot up time of the Solid State Drive. The large screen is great for streaming or watching a DVD. It is really good for productivity like working on documents and email. It is good for some games, but will not support big games like Forza Horizon 4. Forza Streets, The Talos Principle, and Ticket to Ride work just fine.
