This HP laptop is much lighter than the Toshiba we had even though we don't take it anywhere. I like it because of the look, not the shiny black we had before. Just a basic laptop for the browsing we do and checking emails, and watching Eagle cams.

I recently purchased this laptop for me and my wife to use for our online college courses as well as for my wife to use for her small business. This laptop has been awesome. Super fast and reliable. We have been very pleased with this purchase!!!

I was shopping for a replacement computer and did not want to spend money for extra items I do not need. I use this computer for writing papers and online shopping. It works great for what I do!

At first, I almost returned the laptop due to the size. However, the speed of programs far outweighs the bulk. Great to use at home but I wouldn't want to carry it around on a regular basis.

I like the laptop. It runs smooth when doing doing basic task. The updates install real fast. My only negative critque is the mousepad gets stuck sometimes but definitely not a deal breaker.

The design is great. Computer is fast, but not as fast as it should be. Bogged down with way too many applications and programs we'll never use.

This computer is a little powerhouse. It doesn't have a video card, so don't expect to game with it, and the viewing angles aren't the best, but it is fast and is a capable multi-tasker.

I purchased this as a secondary computer for my sailboat. I needed space for weather and nav apps. So far it's fitting the need. The larger screen is great for Amazon or Net Flix shows.

I wanted the 17 inch screen and it is great because it actually feels a lot bigger. I use my laptop just to read email and very basic computer work but I am slowly venturing into learning the other stuff this computer has to offer,

I needed a second laptop with lots of memory. I have always hated Windows 10 as a downloaded upgrade on my desktop. This laptop came with Windows 10 installed and it has made all the difference. And I have always preferred HP.

We have not had any problems with the HP Notebook laptop computer we purchased at Best Buy and the information and demonstration we received we very helpful. We left Best Buy feeling confident in our use of the computer.

This is an excellent computer for the money. I purchased it over the Thanksgiving weekend for my daughter. She is very pleased to have a better computer that processes quickly and doesn't freeze up. I highly recommend it.

Needed a new pc and this one was priced well with decent memory and hard drive. Case is somewhat light duty. Would like the mouse pad and buttons to have a smoother feel.

I buy these for work. We use them for imaging only which requires plenty of memory and up to date O/S. Minimal use as work stations so the laptops work perfectly for us.

My husband has had three eye operations this year, so he needs a larger screen, as well as the ability to connect to a portable scanner for his genealogy research. This laptop has fit the bill for all his needs so far.

Good value performance wise. Only difference I can tell between this and the $1200 one is the fact that this model uses a plastic shell. Everything else is great.

My wife's computer recently melted down... needed to replace it. Basically uses it for e-mail, facebook and storing photographs and documents. This is perfect for her. She loves the really big screen.

Although I love my new laptop it does have it's negatives compared to my previous HP. I guess they are no big deal to some people however they bother me!! 1)The edges are "sharper" and the surface is rougher than the nice smooth finish on my previous HP, "not a big deal" but is uncomfortable on my old skin. 2) there is no "on" light 3) there is no "number lock" light #2 & #3 are technicalities however I took it for granted that they were a natural feature on a laptop, the extra step is a frustration - "every second of frustration deletes a second of happiness"

I am definitely not a computer guru and I changed from a MAC desktop (had for 14 yrs)to a PC due to price of MAC laptop. Definite learning curve for me but easy to navigate and worth the price.

I purchased this laptop for our basic family requirements - web, email, etc. We have been very happy with its performance for what we paid for it!
