An Awesome Chromebook - Finally
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While I’ve always liked the promise of the Chromebook (a free operating system with automatic updates that matches my Android phone operating system, synchs with my PC’s Chrome browser across platforms and offers better security, cloud storage, free Google apps for creating documents and spreadsheets, etc.), I’ve been sadly disappointed in the past. I’ve owned two previous Chromebooks and neither lived up to my expectations (too slow, poor quality screens, insufficient storage, lousy keyboards, no ability to connect to external devices, etc.). So this high-end Chromebook was a make-or-break decision for me. Either this third attempt to realize the Chromebook promise would be “Three strikes and you’re out” and I’d give up on the Chromebook idea, or hopefully, “The third time’s the charm”. With this HP 2-in-1 Chromebook, l feel that I’ve finally realized all of the good things that escaped me in my two previous Chromebook experiences. The touch screen qualify is first-class and seems to be the right size for serious work. The lighted keyboard is a pleasure to use. With an Intel Core i3 chip, 8gb of memory and 64gb of internal storage, and up to 14 hours of battery life, this HP Chromebook comes fully-loaded and ready to do some serious work. The two USB C ports, and one regular USB port provide lots of options for charging and connecting external devices. There’s also a Micro-SD memory card reader slot and an audio-in (microphone) and audio out (headphone) combo jack connector. It has a camera and two microphones for voice and video calls. So this Chromebook is fully loaded. I’m happy to say this this device checks all the boxes and is a real pleasure to use. So the answer to my original question is “The third time’s the charm.”. This Chromebook is definitely a keeper!

First, I’m not a techie...Slim, lightweight, decent size screen and easy to use. Decent graphics, like the touch screen option. Historically, purchased a laptop for a lot more money and too much freedom for kids to get distracted on some of the more popular video games and always battling viruses.
