It’ll do for now
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it does what it needs to do, so it’ll work for now. Just super disappointed that it doesn’t support some of the online games I play. If I would’ve known that, I wouldn’t have bought this laptop.

Eh......
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well for a tablet, but not a fan of the Chromebooks in general. I wasn't sure how I would like the all apps setup, and it leaves a lot to be desired. Next buy will definitely go back to laptops.

Very nice Chromebook!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP's Chromebook x360 is a pretty nice machine. It hits all the right marks in terms of being a 2 in 1 device that is designed for consuming media and the Internet. Plan and simple, it's fast and is actually fun to use. It's very very thin, looks nice with the special finish and looks high quality. For anyone who wants something a bit more than a tablet without all the headache of actually having a full computer this is perfect! What's great is that you can download and run apps and games from the Google Play Store and you get the same great experience of browsing the web that you'd have on any other computer with Google Chrome. In this case, for whatever reason Chrome runs even better/faster than it does on my desktop computer. Hardware wise, this computer is great and has a nice sharp looking display with rich colors at just the right brightness. Battery life is excellent and in my testing provided plenty of time on the go for watching movies and surfing the web without sacrificing performance and I was able to go all day. Storage wise 64 is great for a decent number of apps and some media but there is a microsd slot for easy expansion to store all the media you can fit on the card you have and of course don't forget the cloud based storage you get with Google too for which this OS was designed to integrate seamlessly with. There are also plenty of USB ports including USB C ports in which one is used for power delivery (charging). You also have a regular USB port as well. The built-in speakers are much like you'd expect in a laptop, they sound good and have a decent volume level but really don't have any bass but outside of that they are good. In terms of CPU power, the i3 is PLENTY of power under the hood to drive this machine as it's running an OS that is designed from the ground up to run efficiently on this hardware. The keyboard feels great, is backlit and the touchpad is large and responsive. Of course, you have the combined advantage of having a touch screen on top of that! Overall, this is a really nice machine and it's nice to see HP adding nice hardware along with some great looks to ChromeOS. I'd definitely recommend this machine!

Bad Experience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I purchased this item it said it was shipping within 5 days. After I completed the purchase it then told me 1 month later. I finally got the laptop a month and a week after ordering. Never again.

HP quality, simple to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, let me say that HP did a great job with this Chromebook. The built is solid and it looks great. It's thin and very light. The 1080p screen is bright and displays colors accurately. And battery life is excellent. 12 hours or more definitely doable. Second, this is a great device for quickly getting online. The Core i3 processor has plenty of power for Chrome OS, so this Chromebook performs well. There are plenty of apps available for it, and most of the Android apps work, though some don't seem to scale well. You can even install Microsoft office, so you can be pretty productive with it. If you are in the market for a Chromebook, this is a great option. For the price, you get great HP quality.

Internal mic not working
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just returned the computer to Gastonia Best Buy store today because mic would not work. I was told by technician that mics on these laptops are not good and I should buy an external mic. I felt HP is obligated to repair this mic. Furthermore, I doubt HP is very happy with the evaluation of their product from BB employee. Unfortunately, I was outside the window for returning this product so warranty repair was my only option. I doubt I will make future purchases from Best Buy and only hope I will get my computer repaired and returned.

Workhorse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The finger sensor do not work. I tried everything to make it work. I might have to let geek squad look at it. But before I take it to Best buy I'm going to try and see if it will work.

||Posted . Had to return 2x
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The chromebook is great quality, it runs easy and its easy to use i bought it specifically for school and netflix. I bought this one about a week ago and it worked fine up until the 4th day where it didn’t want to turn on. I exchanged it and now the 2nd one is acting up the same. I charge it for about 20min and it wont turn on, the whole screen is black. Other than it not being able to turn on, everything about this chromebook is good especially for school . I now have to return it and get a new one of a different brand.

move on nothing to buy here
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Truly the worst purchase I have ever made (and thought I was doing the right thing by buying up compared to other bestbuy chromebook offerings). Purchased for my daughter for virtual instruction during these online only school times....bluetooth pairing works sometimes and the camera has never worked (only get a black screen), these issues render the chromebook useless as the classes are live learning. Trying to get in touch with bestbuy for a fix has been more than difficult and a waste of time as I still own this glorified typewriter....I will spare you the rant of the circus like process and simply tell you - buy something else, even the last bestbuy person I spoke to agreed, saying "yeah, we have been hearing this a lot with this model".

Get a real computer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had not purchased a new piece of technology in quite some time, so it was definitely time to upgrade. I went in to the store to gain advice, which was probably my first mistake. Alas, I had read good things about Chromebooks online, and two of the store staff members spoke about how much they loved their own personal Chromebooks. There are some perks, to be sure. But... Don't. Just don't. Unless you're simply in the market for an expensive device allowing you to watch movies on a small screen, or to check your email, go with an actual computer.

You Can't Move it while using it
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lightness and battery life of this laptop has been great but 1) Once opened/on, do NOT move it or the screen image starts hopping around horribly and you have to turn it off to reset. And then 2) To turn it off the image is jumping so it's nearly impossible to click off and the side button to force quit would make a stone weep as it does not engage easily. iPhones in an Otter case can be turned off with greater ease.

Startup is quick, internal wifi antenna is weak
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband routinely makes international skype calls to landlines, so computer to phone. But he couldn't hear what the other person was saying. We boiled the problem down to a weak antenna in Chromebooks. This issue might not be a problem if you are only using domestic signals. We resolved the problem with an Orbi Mesh router system. When I was talking with the assistant, he mentioned this isn't the only weak thing in Chromebooks. We won't buy another. Might be great for kids or light use.
