To start, new out of the box one of the keys was already busted and jammed stuck at an angle. The key would constantly get stuck if even after unjamming it. Then in the first online class, I discovered the camera didn't work at all. Reset multiple times and attempted from a fresh restart only to read online that this is a common issue. I reached out to Bestbuy and expressed that I can't leave the chromebook at the store for repairs because it is needed for school / work and hoped they would exchange it or at least lend one considering it was only used for a weeks and was two days past the return date. It was a no on the exchange and the loaner. Sincerly disappointed.

None of the apps are available on the main screen. The quality is good, keyboard 10/10. Although it Does not work well with apps. It does not have full features. Cant get any work done. Basically its just for decoration.

First 3 months from the date of purchase, the Chromebook was working good. All of a sudden the touch screen is stopped working. Searched for the solution in the internet and couldn't find the satisfactory solution yet!

I tried to do an online meeting only to find that the camera doesn't work. This is a disappointment as everything else seems good. I returned this product only to receive a 2nd one with the same issue. I've tried disabling extensions, power-washing and OS recovery all to no avail. Somehow others don't have the same issue?

I purchased my chromebook not even 2 years ago. It is shutting off and restarting on its own and it keeps overheating. Of course factory warranty is only one year. Blah!! And best buy is the worst when it comes to their warranty. On my last purchase I knew my hard drive was going out and they kept saying nothing was wrong. A few days after the warranty expired, they said I needed to replace my hard drive!!

I took It to Best Buy while It was still under 1 year of having It, because It turned off on me. It was off for a week and when i took It to the store It turned on, i couldn’t return It or see why It did that. It has been a little under a year and It did the same thing so i thought i could just trade It in since i couldn’t get a return just for It to be at $26 trade in value. I paid nearly $900 for this.I hate this laptop do not buy It!!

Right out of the box, this laptop was defective. Screen freezing up every few minutes. Screen going black, screen off center so you could not see the time. Twice it made loud static noises, and the screen was jumbled and flashing. Had it a week, it worked maybe 2 hours. Did a power wash 4 times. Called HP, did an OS reset. Still all the same problems. Tech said if the reset didn't work, I could return it, or send it for repair. Very, very disappointed! Sent it back today.

This is as cheap as it gets for what this device offers. At 400$, (350$ with student discount), this Chromebook has a great combination of battery life, a decent keyboard, ok speakers, decent screen, fast processor and smooth touchpad. I have read many issues with the fan being loud, the battery not being up to par, or occasional crashing, so do make sure to check for any defects if you plan to pick one up.

I didn't like the resolution for the camera wasn't mentioned when it was specify for the monitor screen. There isn't a caps lock button Also the apps are not place on the front of screen There's many cons

Bad for workplace, not compatible with so many things for school, Chrome OS is a pain and hard to work around. Get a Mac or windows computer

Love the laptop /Tablet my only downfall is when you are using it as a tablet the keyboard is on the back side so if you lay it on the table you’re laying the keyboard on the table

But it's a bit problematic. My wife's gone through 3 already and I recommend the protection plan, the more expensive one.

I picked up the Lenovo YOGA Chromebook and my girlfriend purchased The HP. I have to say I am impressed with the HP's features to price ratio. Intel i3 on Chrome OS is very fast. 100% faster on Chrome compared to running Windows 8 or 10 8GB RAM is a huge plus! I was running only 2gb on my old Samsung and saw it bog down when Multitasking so 4gb was needed. 8gb is a huge plus! 1080p screen is crisp and bright coming in a 300 nits. HUGE Plus for having Back-lit keys! Something Lenovo needs badly! Now for the Downfalls... No Pen support. This isn't a deal breaker but the Dell Inspirion for the same price comes with this feature. 64gb of Flash Storage. Wouldn't really say this is a downfall but kinda a let down seing both Dell and Lenovo give you 128gb for the same price point. Nice thing thou is you can always expand storage with a Micro SD Card. Plastic Bottom and Weird 2 tone color scheme. Not sure why HP decided to use plastic for the bottom on the laptop. Seeing Dell and Lenovo are all aluminum builds. HP chose to have Aluminum top, Aluminium keyboard and then a plastic bottom. Not a deal breaker but takes away alittle from a "Premium" build. Also the top is White and the rest is like a Midnight Blue Steel. Not my favorite colorway but I can see how some may dig this. B&0 Speakers are very disappointing. I really can't believe B&O put their name on these seeing they pretty much only make High End Audio products. Seeing the branding on the machine I expected decent Audio. Where in fact the generic down firing speakers in the Dell sounded better. I will say the HP's up-firing is louder than my Lenovo but lacks quality and is easily beat by the generic speakers in the Dell. Conclusion... It's a Great Chromebook with great specs for the money. One of the best Keyboards i've used where only the $999 Google Pixel book beats it out. Track-pad is nice and wide and its very fast. Besides the few quirks I mentioned above I would recommend this book but giving 4 stars due to this.

I have been using this Chromebook for 4 or 5 days and I have been blown away by it. I always thought of Chromebooks as cheap, plastic, glorified tablets, but this HP breaks the mold. It is durable, sleek, modern and definitely has a premium look and feel to it. When it comes down to it, I really just want something to browse the web, email and watch movies, similar to what I would use a tablet for. This HP is perfect for that, maybe the best web browsing device I've ever used, I signed into Chrome and all of my bookmarks were automatically imported which made the user experience so much better. I felt at home right away using this device since I had all of my bookmarks. I downloaded the Netflix, Amazon and Pandora apps and was very happy to see that everything worked flawlessly. The screen is excellent and speakers were better than expected. The keyboard feels terrific and I love that it is backlit. all of the shortcuts are perfectly placed as well. The trackpad is nothing short of perfect, truly impressive. I use MS Office a lot for work so I will be missing that with the HP, but that's ok, I have 3 others computers to use Office on. This is now my favorite device for web browsing and it will be my device of choice when travelling for watching movies on the plane. I recently bought a MacBook Pro and I somewhat regret it. This Chromebook is just as good if you don't need to edit movies and do some heavier tasks that Macs are built for. This does everything else just as well.

No local hard drive storage capacity. I return this item because I needed to be able to store Word and Excel files on local drive

This had so much trouble. It was not wanting to connect to certain data. We had trouble downloading most of our needs. The camera died within 3 months suddenly.

I dislike this laptop so much nothing but frustration from it. I can hardly wait for it to completely stop so I can get a better one.

very disappointed in this HP product. Was using and screen started going crazy acting on its own. heard a pop and something internal blew and cracked the screen from the inside. Can't feel from outside but see it from top to bottom. HP will not warranty so money down drain as they want to charge as much to fix as a new one.

The mouse pad has become so sensitive that it constantly clicks onto sites just by passing the browser over. Skip this and go with another computer!

This is really nice & worked well considering it wasn’t used often. However, after 3 months, when the pandemic started, the screen started glitching. My son was using this for his school work so it was now being used everyday. Can’t even get through calling Bestbuy!!! Worst part is, this is his Christmas present. He asked for a much cheaper brand & I convinced him that this one was a much better choice. Very disappointing. I’ll probably get through to Bestbuy when my warranty is no longer good!!!
