If you are looking for a great all-round Chromebook for work, school, or personal this is the one. I was not expecting the how quick and premium this devices feels. Not only does it preform better than expected, it would also look great in any company meeting!

Some people may try to tell you that Chromebooks are junk, and perhaps they don't like Google for whatever reason. But being familiar with the company and utilizing all their great services such as gmail, google drive and youtube, this thing is specifically intuitive for that function, and connectivity into the online world in general, through the amazing Google Chrome search engine. So that all works seamlessly for my purposes, but what's even more impressive is the totality of this device is simply ahead of the curve technologically. I first tried a dell to update my older PC with a similar price tag and this computer is light and day a better device. I absolutely love this thing. it's so well designed that it makes you want to use it; the keyboard is smooth, the interface great and the 14" screen size is the perfect size and a happy medium between the 15.6 and 13.3 I was dealing with. Google is a brilliant company and their pride certainly shines through with this instrument. They have everything right- the speakers are loud and clear and set on top of the device to prevent vibration, it's light yet solid, very quiet (it only started to make some fan noise a week in being on it all day). the gold surface is a warm and comforting color to be looking at but still light in color with the screen shining on it, with an appealing sparkle. Seems to have everything you'd need for basic functionality, with the power cord able to plug into both sides. I believe I've just had a turning point in which device I'll look forward to using into the future. Those silicone valley folks are getting this right.

It's like a high performance aicraft. It's sleek, responsive, and comes with the loud jet intake intake to match. The cooling fans on this beauty are either full afterburner or not moving, no middle ground. This laptop is packed with performance you can see, feel, and definitely hear pushed to the limit.

    My First Chromebook

I'm a full time student and I'm constantly on the go i've been looking for a good computer for awhile when I saw this on sale. I picked this up for $450+tax and so far I love it. All my other computers have been Windows computers but I use Google docs, sheets and drive for school so I figured I'd give a Chromebook a try and so far I could do everything I need for school and the google play store is nice to have. Battery life is great I brought it to school today with a low battery and was still able to get through all my classes. The keyboard is great backlight helps a lot I'm still getting used to all the shortcuts and gestures only downside of the keyboard would be in really bright rooms some keys had a glare because the color of the keys couldn't see the letter that well The display is good but if you are going to play any games or use the touch screen a lot get a good cloth to clean the screen with and I'm a little curious about how the hinge will hold up over time because it seems to move a little too easily but I dont have have much doubt my last HP 2 in 1 even though it was old held up well. The laptop fan kicks on occasionally but not too loud and only seems to get hot if youre playing games for extended periods of time.

All you need for today's Internet

For anyone that spends most of their time on their computer running the Chrome browser, say no more. Imagine not having to deal with constant Windows updates, concerns about viruses from Facebook and your other favorite websites. Once you boot up this Chromebook and sign in, you are able to instantly use the Internet without worrying about anything else. I work in IT as a profession, and when I'm at home, the last thing I want to worry about is system updates, security, or anything else related to computers. This Chromebook instantly recognized my HP printer (on home network), lets me play YouTube and NetFlix videos, and pretty much anything else I want to do. Google and HP got it right with this machine. I came from a MacBook Pro where I wanted the premium hardware AND display along with the worry-free operating system, and here I have both. With this hardware, you get an Intel i3 processor and 8GB of RAM which makes using the Internet a dream: websites scream by. The local storage is 64GB and if you need more, you get 100GB of Google cloud storage for free for 2 years! HP hit the sweet spot with this machine. You have the touch screen and convertible form factor for "tablet" mode when you want it, the entire Play Store (Android apps) if you need those, and otherwise a perfect 14 inch Internet laptop for everything else. At any price under $500 this is a steal. Get one and you won't be disappointed.

Nice, not compatible with my printer

Nice convertible, the i3 is fine for my personal use - might not be great as a gaming laptop. I would have given 5 stars, but because Google designed these chromebooks to not be easily connected - either by cord or wirelessly - to most printers, I don't use this x360 very much. If you're more computer savvy than I, you may be able to get it set up and have a really nice chromebook.

    Overall great Chromebook

I won't bore you with all the details. There are plenty of other reviews that will get as technical as you want. All I will say is this thing is fast and has a great keyboard. The only reason for four stars is my trackpad seems to have a dead spot on it where I can't just touch it, I have to press down hard on it. I'm thinking of returning it for another one because of this.

I was buying the computer for one of my brothers for school use because of the pandemic. There were no other laptops available. This one was hard to find and I was a little hesitant because it was open box but it’s been great so far. No issues or no problems. It was the first chrome book in the house. But overall great purchase.

    Camera isn't that good

Just got this Chromebook three days ago for my kids to do remote learning. It seems to run quickly and while I'm not used to the Google operating system, it looks very simple and straight forward to use. The reason for the 3 stars, is that I used it for a zoom meeting today and the camera quality isn't great. I didn't realize it has only a front camera, you can not switch views. But the real issue is that the camera looks grainy and dark. For the amount paid for the chromebook, I would have expected a better quality camera. I have to decide if it's worth keeping now, because I don't feel I should need to buy a web cam just to get a clear and bright image for remote learning.

I have a loaded Windows laptop that I hesitate to take traveling internationally in case it's damaged or stolen so I bought this Chromebook; light and cheap. This little beauty has won my heart for normal use. Touchscreen; easy Google Drive storage options, fast and great keyboard.

I recently purchased this on sale, since I was in the market for a new laptop and it seemed like a great deal. It's very fast and the transition to chrome OS isn't that bad. It took a little while to get used to everything being saved to the cloud, but overall it's a great laptop

This is the best chromebook of 2020, i bought this on black friday for 379.99 and its great, the intel core i3 is fast and the feel is premium, in my opinion it's better than 2020 chromebooks for acer and lenovo.

To be honest i did not look further into the purchase. I just saw Chrome macbook thinking just a general laptop. No, I was very wrong. It is just a glorified tablet. Perfect for a child who just likes to play games or maybe just to watch Youtube. Lesson learned.

This laptop got the higher end specs for Chromebooks (an incredible value at $ 349 during Black Friday 2019) that hits all the specs I wanted: * 360 degree form factor * Nice 1080p IPS 14" touchscreen * Fast 8th gen Core i3 - dual core processor (4 hyper threads) * 8GB RAM - plenty for running apps * 64GB onboard storage - plenty for apps along with a micro SD card slot for even more storage * Backlit keyboard * 10+ hours of battery

Excellent for students or light business use

This Chromebook has been the best laptop I've had so far! Excellent multitasking specs: I am able to stream and cast video onto chromecast, stream completely different media on chromebook and have 11 tabs open at the same time. I say light business use because of lack of full MS Office programs. Apps are available in Play Store, but don't have the full features that are included in the desktop versions of the programs.
