Customers are saying

Customers find value in the touch screen, ease of use, and long battery life of this 2-in-1 Chromebook. Its lightweight design and strong performance are also frequently praised, along with the ample RAM and competitive price. However, some users mention limited storage capacity and occasional fan noise as drawbacks. A few also reported minor compatibility issues and some instances of the device overheating.

    Poor quality of device

This Chromebook looks beautiful and is easy to use... when it works. I received this Chromebook 12/25/19 brand new from Best Buy. It was used a handful of times. A week after the return period ended, the screen started to malfunction. Depending on the angle, the screen would flicker and the cursor would click on random areas, opening new windows without human input. I also noticed the battery was not charging to 100%. Contacted HP as the unit was under warranty, and sent it back for repair. HP had the unit for 3 weeks waiting for a part to replace the screen. I was told the battery issue was normal, that it stopped charging at 100% and would be “cycling.” When I got the unit back, I charged it, watching to see if it did charge to 100%. It did not. I performed a battery health test and discovered the battery health was at 86.34% with 4 full charge cycles noted. After a total of 5 hours on hold waiting for HP support I was told to send the Chromebook BACK in for another repair. Frustrating!!

    Crappy display!

This was my first Chromebook purchase and I was very excited to get home with my brand new toy but I had to return it within an hour because the screen was flicking really bad. The slightest tap on the back of the screen would cause the display to flicker and pixelate really bad. The screen wouldn't even turn when customer service tried turning it on in the store. Best Buy was very helpful and refunded my money.

    AVOID AT ALL COST

I'm a HUGE fan of Chromebooks, however, this Chromebook is absolutely awful. Worked great for the first 6 months - not it crashes on every single web page and randomly reboots. I've factory reset the device and the issue still continues. I do NOT recommend this product.

You are buying a PROTOTYPE operating system

Be aware of what you are buying: you are buying a PROTOTYPE operating system that is of medium importance to Google or they don't enough resources. The system is pretty closed. Many basic apps/services are missing. Apps/services that are available can break at any time and there will be no support. Everything that this huge corporation can offer in terms of support is a "community support": unpaid volunteers.

    Support Awful

Camera stopped working after about six weeks. Figuring out to get in touch with support is anything but straightforward. After over a week without it, they are projecting three more weeks before they can get to it and nowhere to complain. Sucks

Can’t use a pen to draw. Touch screen doesn’t support it. Wasted money returning.
